How to clean a sponge that stinks and smells with bad odor

It would of great if you used a dirty sponge and not a new one.

Microwave has never worked for me. Makes it stinks even more, I'm talking even 20/30 seconds

Don't mix bleach and soap... The fumes are deadly.

Wear rubber gloves. Vinegar in the micro wave in A bowl with water works well. 35-40 seconds

I don't know if you know this but soap actually can effect how well the bleach works. Plus if there are metal bristles in that sponge bleach can oxidize the Metal in the sound to "rust". Best thing to do is if there is metal in that sponge is to boil it or use baking soda. Then rinse it out fd and let it air dry. Also rrewmove any food particles from that sponge after everytime you use it. Last the bacteria that Bleach will kill all the bacteria but cause more health problem later even the little that you ingest. Otherwise just throw away the. Sponge and get a new one.
