I have some 12ga #4 brushed stainless laser drops you can have if you’re ever in Statesville
Ответитьlooking forward to ýour 100k subs!
ОтветитьAwesome. Looks like a good excuse to try some electroplating. Masking for two tone, copper and nickel or something.
ОтветитьHell of a job Justin. Looks awesome. Disregard the distortion , We do what we can and when we lack a good quench plate there isn't much that can be done in that situation. A sheet of aluminum would serve wonders for these in the future. Also, don't sweat being bad at a bad game. :p I wonder how many mad faces that just produced. Lol Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьWow a welder that plays Apex!
ОтветитьWhat do you mark with? Good video.
ОтветитьAwesome, I was just wondering about doing something like this on the derby cover on a Harley. I think they're just mild steel underneath the finish so whatever I did, I'd have to polish up and have re-chromed, which defeats half the purpose of having weld art imo.
ОтветитьHow much did that piece of steel cost? How much would that piece cost when finished?
ОтветитьDude- your video editing, lighting, and content are top of the pack. I really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming, and often.
ОтветитьHow about using shop air to cool it. Start with a sheet of 1/2" (or thicker plate), 14" x 14" (or bigger), cut out the inside 11.5" x 11.5". This makes a stiff but hollow frame to tack to, then blow cool air from underneath in several places and have several escape holes for the now hot air to leave thru. Might work? Thoughts???
ОтветитьHey to make the lines on the plate what kind of scriber is that or where can I find one ???
ОтветитьYou're videos are awesome man, such high quality and super informational, and helpful! Excited for more content!
ОтветитьAwesome video, I’ve always wanted to give some stainless art a go. Just a quick question on what you were using to mark the stainless through the paper?
Appreciate any info!
Metal supermarkets
ОтветитьI recently have been getting into welding due to being tired of not being able to weld my own jeep parts, your videos are amazing man. Thank you so much for all the info and tricks you teach us
ОтветитьDude just found your content and its awesome! Video production quality is great! The question is, when are you going to stream some Apex Legends? lol I'd be down to join you.
ОтветитьLink to that Engraving tool???
ОтветитьDo you think its possible to put stainless steel design art on the Tesla Cybertruck aftermarket?
Ответитьu don't know if u don't try! good job Justin look great for your first time tryin. im gonna sub u have some awesome vids fixin to watch how to weld aluminum foil. Happy Holidays.
Ответить“It’s either going to get better or worse” Couldn’t have said it any better myself! Hahahaaa!
ОтветитьQuestion for you. I'm building a c10 and am looking for a nascar exhaust. Got a connection for used stuff?
ОтветитьIm assuming you used a 300 series stainless. For future reference, consider using a ferritic grade of stainless, it has roughly a 50% less coeficient of thermal expansion and its a much lower cost. This will significantly cut down on distortion, as well as you will be able to buy thicker base material.
ОтветитьMore videos! 👍👍
ОтветитьDo you have to use a furick to do the tig art of can you use what ever ?
ОтветитьWhat tool did you use to etch before welding? What type of Tig set up do you use?
ОтветитьWhat is that pen looking thing u used for sketching the badge??
ОтветитьI use 1/4ss un-polished and it potato chips a little bit too. I also tack it bolt it down to a copper plate
ОтветитьBrilliant video, great job
ОтветитьThick aluminum instead of steel as heatsink would do much better. Even warped looks awesome!
ОтветитьHola, no ablo tu idioma y no entendí nada de lo que dijiste, pero también soy soldador TIG y me encantó lo que hiciste 👍🇦🇷 saludos
ОтветитьLive and learn.
ОтветитьJustin, for the video when it switches from ??light mode to dark mode?? How do you do that? What I mean is how do you make the video visible instead of a bright white ball?
Thank you.
Shoshauna
Mosabique ear <3
ОтветитьNice work but am I the only one who feels like it's a Sex Ed diagram just saying it looks like the lady bits
ОтветитьHow did you engrave the design in the beginning ... what kind of tool is that?
ОтветитьWhat is the tool you use to do the etching on the stainless before you tig it?
ОтветитьNice first try brother. I actually like the way that turned out with the warping for more of a 3D effect. 💥💯
ОтветитьWHERE DID ALL THE COLOR GO !?
ОтветитьWhat engraver did u use on this project?
ОтветитьIf you started in the center it would have not warped. Learned that the hard way
ОтветитьI suspect 12ga ss would be good to keep the warping down, especially if tacked to heavy plate. Do you have to buy it mirrored or can you shine it up on your own? Might bring the cost down too.
ОтветитьPretty cool.
ОтветитьUse a 12 x 12 piece of brass and use the sea clamp vice grips and vice grip it to your table but this is the first time I ever seen someone affectively weld stainless
ОтветитьWhat is the thickness of the 16-gauge stainless? (about 69-thou?)
ОтветитьThat actually turned out pretty damn good considering how thin that plate was! I learned the hard way with the warping too 😂. I forgot to tac it before I started so it was a loss from the start for me
Ответитьit oil canned because you tacked it all the way around the heat needs to escape
Ответитьto much gas shielding and post flow. you actually want a little less for stainless art than you would want for actual welding... because you want the oxidation to occur a bit for the colors rather than preventing it with proper gas shielding and post flow time.
Ответить*3/32” Tungsten. I mess that up 50% of the time. Honestly it’s always been big tungsten (3/32) and small tungsten (1/16)..... and then once in awhile .040 and 1/8”. I called it 3/16” in the video 🤦🏼♂️
