Has anyone noticed how similar he looks and acts to Lux Interior from the Cramps? I wonder if Lux was an inspiration for the character, or Steve Martin's portrayal of him.

Steve Martin n bill Murray were best parts. Own movie just for them. Rick moranis was good too. Rest of movie sucked.

That punch never hits her. Her head doesn't flinch. The door gets nowhere near her face.

Steve Martin played the dentist who was portrayed psychopathic as it’s written in the musical. I don’t see Ellen Green coming out and saying he was a c**t. His character was more insanely violent on her. I’m talking about one scene that I’m not mentioning.

Obviously the punch isn’t real, but it’s pretty dated to make the overweight woman the target of physical humor. I don’t blame the actress for not remembering it too fondly. As for Martin, I can’t say. Sometimes comedians forget their boundaries, but again, I wasn’t there.

Just here to remind myself how bad that punch was, allegedly.
