I would rather use erythitol or stevia in my coffee than sugar.
ОтветитьAgain mostly based on males. My waist can vary by 3 inches in 24 hours as I'm perimenopausal.
ОтветитьSince we change the way we eat and food that we eat we feel good and happy as my husband lost a lot of weight
ОтветитьMy husband always snore in sleep but since he lost weight when he change his diet never snore again
ОтветитьWhat foods exactly????
ОтветитьThis guy talks too much and says nothing. So what food??? What exactly????
ОтветитьEating whole food mindfully is key
ОтветитьSo is the cheap bread good or bad?
ОтветитьMonk fruit and stevia?
Ответитьi just cooked mushroom soup :))
ОтветитьIf you ever write a book you can call it the “Chatterjee Strategy”…just sayin’
ОтветитьThank you Dr. Chattergee and Dr. Li for the insight given here, when we are truly listening as opposed to looking for flaws, and sharing the science behind it.
ОтветитьOk..ill just start smoking crack again
ОтветитьI enjoy very much very enteresting thank you😊
ОтветитьI have arthritis in my knees. My concoction is Solgar no.7(vitamin) Moringa, Tumeric, D3,calcium, fish oil. Moringa and Tumeric in powder form and the others are vitamins. Six years and never had another flare up in my knees. I don't eat foods that cause inflammation. Another benefit of Tart Cherry juice, it helps you sleep.
ОтветитьOne of the greatest misconceptions is people eating puffed rice, because it has so few calories. Eating it raises your Insulin level, makes you prone to diabetes and on top of it all: hungry. So don't eat (m/any) puffed rice snacks and most of all don't think you're doing it for your health or weight loss. They are a completely misused food item.
ОтветитьDr, Li is very clear and concise in his descriptions ,thanks very much for your discussion.
ОтветитьMentioned are juices that are problematic..ie. orange juice.. In another video Dr Li spoke about the value Pomegranite and Cranberriy juice for our gut health. Would these two juices then be an exception to the rule then?
ОтветитьPls stop the hand waving, I am trying to hear you .
ОтветитьI wish it was shorter I don't have 2h to watch one podcast 🙄
ОтветитьGreat discussion on fat, I learned a lot!! ❓❓❓I have heard that fat releases estrogen too, so does that mean it is okay for post menopause women to have a little bit of fat on them, since the estrogen can help keep bones healthy amongst other things? Just wondering. (As long as foods are derived from healthy plant sources, like avocado, nuts, seeds, tofu and olives and also complex carbs, fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains and tubers).
ОтветитьI think the "obsession with weight loss" is a good one motivated by a desire to be healthier; and there are ways of "eating" - such as flexing in./out of low carb time-restricted eating; either keto or ketovore - are long lasting and healthy. Just saying.
ОтветитьCGMs are still hard to get still, sadly. I currently use a smart watch to get a rough idea of my Blood-Glucose.
ОтветитьOkay, it doesn't seem correct to generalize all sweeteners as bad; as some are not such as Monk Fruit and perhaps Stevia. What D.B. research is there about these two items?
ОтветитьSoylent green is people
ОтветитьMy Dr. Told me if you have to drink a soda then drink a regular 1 not diet. I drink plenty water w lemon and try very hard to break the Mt. DEW habit. ❤
ОтветитьIf you tell your patients that drink pop, that they are killing their kidneys. The pop is hgh in phosphates and phosphates will eventually cause them to have kidney disease and end up on dialysis, in their senior years.
ОтветитьJust bought your book! Looking forward to reading. Thank you so much. Love my green matcha tee and my coffee w/o sugars, syrups. Alcohol, I spent months in long term therapy. I think however for those people who have a healthy relationship and do not abuse it, ok. I believe all can be done in moderation. I will drink a coke once in a great while, but diet drinks, sacherin whatever, no thank you. Thanks for cast and look forward to your book.😊
ОтветитьCan you start numbering your podcasts. Thanks!
ОтветитьI like his answer on alcohol. It’s the whole picture, but alcohol is not health promoting, rather a question of how robust is your health to handle it.
ОтветитьI know it is my night snacking that caused me to gain weight. No more. I just broke my arm and am really frustrated by not being able to fix salads or cut up vegetables.
ОтветитьOh wow, soft drinks are bad. Who would oh thought.
ОтветитьThey always talk about the health benefits of traditional European or Asian diets but I rarely hear discussion of traditional African diets. Surely the same process of finding healthy, nutrient dense foods that prevent and cure disease happened in the cradle of civilization as well.
Is this a western/asian/European bias because Africa has been so destroyed by colonialism in function and reputation that they ignore it? Is it simply because of how hard it would be to complete research, a lack of interest, a lack of care? I'm genuinely curious because you think it would be discussed more. I do a decent amount of listening to nutrition podcasts and science stuff and Africa is rarely ever mentioned in terms of research or studies
I've been fasting 18 months..and not losing weight..you just gave me all the information as to why I wasn't losing weight 🙏🏻 I'm tired a lot, wounds not healing, hair loss, nails don't grow etc...was taking supplements..not sure effects..will restart everything and keep trying! Thankyou Dr Mindy ❤
ОтветитьIn a nutshell, there is no conlusive study that diet soft drinks are worse then their sugar sweetened version.
ОтветитьHe really doesn’t want to name the foods that help you lose weight! He wants us to buy his book instead, obviously.
ОтветитьBrilliant information clear, balanced and realistic. Thank you
ОтветитьAbsolutely love Dr Li. He makes so much sense to me. I have his books.
ОтветитьGreat
ОтветитьWhite rice is also not healthy as it has too much sugar
ОтветитьThere’s not a single food on the planet that ‘causes weight gain’ if eaten in moderation because it ALWAYS comes down to calories consumed vs burned. It’s harmful that you are writing a title like that as a qualified doctor who should know better.
I followed your podcasts for years as I was getting into my own health journey. I listened when you had 20 episodes. But I can’t help but feel like your message has been lost somewhere down the line. You aim to simplify health for your average person, but 300 episodes later, a bunch of guests preaching questionable science, and misleading titles, and you’ve ended up overcomplicating things far more than simplifying them. Some of your episodes are fantastic but the more educated I have become, the more I’ve noticed you offer a platform to people with dangerous views and don’t challenge them on it despite likely knowing better. It’s really Disappointing Rangan, it’s hard to support you anymore. It’s such a shame.
The most versatile, sweet or savory, food I have brought into my life is Pearl Barley. One hour in the crock pot, with water covering it about 1/4th inch, nice and chewy. Great for us. Keeps our blood sugars leveled, builds muscle, packed with nutrients, no fat, c'mon, get on-board with pearl barley.
ОтветитьGreat video but if we continue to eat vegetable and seed oils, no amount of ridding the body of brown fat is going to help. Eat real food, not processed. If it has more than one ingredient and you can’t pronounce the word. Don’t eat it.
ОтветитьAny advice for someone who is coping with kidney problems? Thank you!
ОтветитьBread and wine were not present during the early stages of human development. When humans started consuming those things it was the beginning of our downfall.
ОтветитьI love your videos but what's up with all the commercials? It's very distracting and annoying to have to constantly skip through ads. Maybe wealth is more important than spreading awareness.
