It's perfect in a blue/white deck where you can run things that force artifacts to enter tapped (or just monoblue with frozen aether), that way they cant respond with anything else from the free treasure.

Best personal use for it is going to be ramping in a non green deck in the early game or to fix mana using dead spells in hand, got a cheerio storm deck this will do wonders for!

I love this card honestly.

There's a reason for the 2 treasures. It's a 3 cost counterspell that gives the opponent 2 mana rather than making you pay that. Just means that you don't get mana advantage until it's hitting 4cmc

My roommate experimented with this card once against me. The two treasures let me cyclonic rift to swing for game. It was a poor showing for its first time. Hopefully later showings prove to be less accidental death dealing.

Flavour fail: it should have “can’t be countered” to really be an offer you can’t refuse.

What if I want to target my own noncreature spell just for early ramp?

just use negate. the one extra mana doesnt matter on later turns when you're countering the big spells.

This spell is absolute garbage. Putting your opponent two turns ahead is terrible

It doesn’t seem that strong IMO unless you’re just trying to fit every CS in a deck. Wash away is a better one mana counter than this in commander and barely sees play.

give 2 treasures to they use them to cast a big card, just to you 2 mana counter that xD

I disagree with this card being “so good” sure it’s cheap but also giving an opponent mana is significantly worse than giving someone a 2/2

So it is negate with a downside? Nah.

I use this in my urza deck. Go to play mishra's bauble or some other 0 drop I dont care about. Counter it and then I can potentially have a turn 2 urza

Not crazy good in casual commander by any means. In cedh however will see huge use!

alredy have it in a Jhoira artifact storm, i can counter my own 0cost artifact to ramp xD

Blue "ritual"!

This card is better used defensively to stop disruption on your own turn, where your opponents have to use the mana instant speed to try again. If used on an opponents turn they can use the mana to play another sorcery speed spell

I plan to put it in my Krarkashima deck to use against myself over and over again.

So this is better late game once your opponent is topped out on mana so arggo decks are perfect for, not so much mid range decks because they don't really play anything impactful until they got the mana for it and your tapped out

My favorite part of this card in Commander is when your opponent plays a card you HATE and you get to look them dead in the eye and say "I'm gonna pay you to get that shit out my face"

“I’ll counter your turn one!… so you can play your turn 2 instead..” Spell Pierce over anything

Until you allow your opponent to ramp for a turn and slam some fat spell that everyone at the table now has to deal with because you blew your only shitty counterspell on some garbage and now the table hates you.

And don't forget "Witness Protection". Turning my friends commanders into a "Legitimate Businessman" is insanely satisfying.

Early game it can hurt you to give your oppenents 2 treasures, unless you counter their ramp with it, but otherwise those treasures are rarely a threat, at least in edh

Do the rules of counterspell restrict it so you can't counter your own card? If not this could be a nice way of giving yourself treasure tokens

An Offer you Cant Refuse is nowhere near the swansong or flusterstorm and its orders of magnitude worse than force of will fierce guardianship or the like i would argue its wose than OG cpunterspell sure it costa 1 but you gove your opponent ramp AND artifact gas its not that good

It's a pact of negation type counter, win or lose, life or death stack. Yeah 2 treasures is a lot to give, but you don't use this on curve vs normal threats.

I got this in my prerelease promo pack, and am so excited to slot this into one of my decks.

U can use it to ramp too with 0 cost spells

it definitely has it's place but lets remember that most spot removal and counterspells are 2 mana, this can enable another spell relatively easily. I'm not trying to say it's bad, but its not raw upside

And if you're running a deck that utilizes March of the Machines, those two treasure tokens are just going to die.

Counter your own spell if you need the treasure mana 🤔

2 treasures is nothing if you're protecting your wincon with this anyways. This is flusterstorm level of protection

Well the verdict is in, months later and this card is still in a pretty sizable amount of decks and is a cedh staple.
