BIS mandatory for Vitamin & Mineral Premix used in manufacturing Fortified Rice Kernels | IS 17781

BIS has implemented Indian Standards on specifications of #fortifiedricekernels and related commodities in order to improve rice fortification in India. In this regard, IS 17781- Specification for Vitamin and Mineral Premix (VMP) used in the manufacture of fortified rice kernels has been published. It gives test procedures and quality requirements for #VMP used in the production of fortified rice kernels.

Every #FRK manufacturer shall ensure that the composition of Vitamin and Mineral Premix shall conform to the recommended specifications given in IS 17781.
