What was the blower door score?
ОтветитьI think one of the reasons this technology will not go in the US is that it does not address enough of the "PBS" values such as carbon and diversity of employment, etc. I think if ICON would go to a country with emerging more classic western values such as Russia (which is becoming more open to the values ICON espouses) it would be much more successful more quickley. Just saying.
Ответитьhow does a 'new' construction method like this satisfy housing codes that are based on completely different construction methods but different materials as well?
Ответитьare the different layers mechanically or chemically bonded? the material cures before the nozzle arrives back at that same spot, so its just the weight of the material that keeps it together?
Ответитьwhats the material used?
ОтветитьVidéo intéressante, belle réalisation architecturale.
ОтветитьВы молодцы. Соединили печать бетоном и дорогие работы по дереву. Вы изобрели новый стиль. Исполнение этих работ радует. Превосходно.
ОтветитьI was born n raised and still own a poured concrete house. Thaat house was a WW2 bomb shelter. Thats how sturdy they are. The walls get warm/ cool and stay that way, helping electric costs. These houses are awesome. Theres no danger of landfill wastes - except roof.
ОтветитьCan we buy this kind of 3D printer !?
ОтветитьI would like to know if you have to Kaulk all around windows and doors to avoid bugs or water to get in . And is the concrete shower wall easy to clean or will it get moldy after time ?
This is a magnificent house !
I saw this company on 60 minutes and am very intrigued by these houses. I also just read an article online regarding another home in Texas that was built with concrete designed with deep grooves to help dissipate heat so that no Air Conditioning is required, even in the triple digit temperatures of Texas. I can't hep but wonder if with the method that the icon houses are built that automatically creates grooves between every layer if this design doesn't provide similar benefits for heat dissipation? Has Icon tested their buildings "R Factor"? I would love to know what this is prior to the "Trades" installing insulation, as I did not hear anything about the inherit "R Factor" of their buildings yet. I would assume the "R Factor" has to be pretty decent with their design and could be significantly higher with double walls where there is an additional air gap between the inner and outer wall. Either way it has to have a built-in value for saving energy which could be ridiculously increased with the proper insulation material, which makes me wonder if Icon has researched the best material/option for insulating their buildings, especial when they are expecting to be building on the moon...
Ответитьalmost awesome
ОтветитьExcellent presentation, but some critical questions. First, because of the outrageous insurance premium, how is this house reduced in fire risks by having less lumber? Another's fire proofing to a 100% fire proof to eliminate insurance? Secondly, with hurricanes and earthquake probabilities in certain regions of the United States how have you made the structure stronger to the these mother nature forces??? If we can eliminate risks we can reduce home ownership costs after construction!!!
Where is your development on construction with apartments or multi-dwelling structures.
when can we commission a residential house to be built?
ОтветитьGreat idea but the build look..... just noooo that needs smoothing out
ОтветитьDo you have to pre-heat the concrete floor to start printing? I can't imagine how big the spatula could be!
ОтветитьI think alot of people are missing the point or not understanding the cost savings, these houses aren't going to cost less, builders still wand that moolah, but your going to get alot more for your money. House is going to be built like a fortress last longer, more energy efficient etc id never buy a new conventional ticky tacky built home. This technology can be used to build affordable and well built homes, but thats on the city to give builders an incentive to do so.
ОтветитьGosh, back in the old days, we had to telegraph houses.
ОтветитьCan you Sand the exterior walls to remove the rugged aspect and perform painting finishes !!
Ответитьyou cannot remodel a 3-D printed house. Its one and done.
ОтветитьWhat an innovator. I am so impressed by Icon and its exceptional CEO. Well done!
ОтветитьAt 0.35 you can see the crack, and there will be more and bigger, when you using only concrete in outdoors with this speed it's unavoidable.
ОтветитьThis dude rocks. He will be or already is a millionaire.
The cement looks weird on the interior walls🤔
ОтветитьI've written ICON many times that I want a 3d house as an example for the disadvantaged community where my land is in - foothills of CA near Grass Valley/Nevada City/Marysville. I've never heard back. I would like to start the movement in CA.
ОтветитьActually those houses look much much more solid that the typical (Cardboard) American houses, ...kind of as solid as the German ones...
ОтветитьVery German!
ОтветитьAdd human interaction with a palette knife or trowel finish even mechanically pressed, cut, sanded or high polish no paint
ОтветитьHow approx for house like this sample, if ground already paid ???
Thx
Cost? Why don't they talk about cost? At one point he said the back house walls were delivered for $50k for 400 sqft? Yikes.$125 a sqft for just the unfinished walls.....
ОтветитьGod BLESS you icon
All I need is a studio or 1 bedroom
I am a hard working single Father
But I am homeless live in a car 🚗
It's thought..I am just being patient..
To deal with it
The walls must scatter sound better than normal houses.
ОтветитьAffordable housing?? Hud approved, Fannie Mae Freddie Mac financed and or subsidized? Smaller scale 'tiny houses' Rocket the boat, be a 'disruptor' tech should reduce prices -- make it real young man!
Ответить3d printed homes from concrete are not even remotely green concrete is a horrible product from start to finish. Also the house itself I mean all that exposed rough concrete inside the home imagine after a few months or years all the dust starting to stick to it and the grease from cooking or film from vaping/smoking. Best form of Home construction out there right now is the compressed hemp fiber blocks green as it can get easy to build completely renewable and beautiful when finished
ОтветитьPoor guy. Uh umm uh umm. But I do love the house honestly. I’m just wondering about hvac bc I’m an hvac guy. I didn’t here anything about hvac but efficient
ОтветитьThinking of my favorite Frank LLoyd Wright homes, I definitely shy away from flat roof homes!
ОтветитьCan the interior walls be tiled, I’m a tile man
ОтветитьGood design!!! But, now they are putting boring hip roofs on their other homes they are mass producing. Design is everything. Innovative houses need a more of a modern look like this house.
ОтветитьTHE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT MIGHT BE INTERESTED CONTACT THE HONOURABLE MINISTER FOR PUBLIC HOUSING. WE NEED 6,000 HOMES BUILT IN QUEENSLAND. PROJECT BUDGET AU $ 2.45 BILLION.
ОтветитьAmericans have no idea to built energy efficient houses, no 3triple glass with thermo window profiles, no insulated roofs and not having isolated floors. This guy must go to school again!!

ОтветитьI'm wondering if the printing media could be tinted. I'm not too keen on the coldness of the color.
ОтветитьI never see pictures, art hung, even in a staged house. Can you hang art on those rope looking walls?
ОтветитьTornadoes, snowstorms? Ice storms?
ОтветитьShould build in car charging stations and pitched *slightly for solar panels 😮😁
ОтветитьThis is the first 3-D printed home that I like the texture of the walls - they look like a soft weaving (so I appreciated the way the designer brought in wall hangings and rugs that reflected this!). I have questions - how does one hang a picture in a 3-D printed home? How are the walls repaired from wear and tear over time? Does the texture catch dust? Can you add windows that don't run floor to ceiling? Could you open up the space using half-walls instead of whole walls? I look forward to seeing more of these homes.
ОтветитьPlease, please, please bring these homes to Florida. We need them NOW!
I will build one, we are in Tampa.
Can the outside survive pressure washing?
Ответить
