what a fucking baby
ОтветитьThe only thing I see here is a man speaking absolute facts
Ответитьi run a draft league with my friends. we do a best 2/3 style. in my last match to potentially take the #1 seed, i missed 4 blizzards in 2 rounds after completely dominated every other aspect which lost my both rounds. whatever, poor luck happens. well in my first round of playoffs, a different opponent managed to hit 6 flinches in a row and turned the tables on my team that destroyed them. with my luck, im scared to use a 95% accuracy move at this point
ОтветитьLongway of saying he didnt have enough git gud
ОтветитьI got extremely unlucky with a freeze on my Gholdengo that lasted 9 turns. I double switched, predicted, terastallized, played around each of my opponents moves but to no avail.
I felt like I was superior when it came to skill as up to that point I had my opponent cornered, but RNG screwed me over. I'm willing to accept the fact that RNG plays a substantial role in competitive pokemon and of course I would've accepted the outcome of the battle, no matter how unlucky I got, as this is part of the game.
HOWEVER, I am NOT under any circumstances going to accept being mocked by my opponent, spectators or anyone in the community who rushes to share his ironic remarks. The community has grown to be full of immature and narcissistic individuals who are willing to exploit your unlucky moments to boast about their superficial superiority and flex about their petty win. Losing to RNG is one thing, but being ridiculed by your opponent (or anyone for that matter) is another and it shows how lacking their judgment is, to think that they won purely because of skill.
On the other hand, someone aware of his (previously rough) position should recognise the fact that without luck, he couldn't have done much to prevent a loss. The above behavior shows huge maturity and a high level of game sense imo.
Hence I can certainly sympathize with Lavos, and I believe the same goes for anyone with several hours in competitive mons.
Imagine writing a long post like that and expecting anyone to give a shit
ОтветитьI mean i remember watching something saying that gen 3 competitive and the comunity around it was extreamely diffrent to now, so i mean hes not compleatly wrong
ОтветитьHe spoke nothing but facts
ОтветитьGet that guy who voiced the intro to voice these videos! That plus the quality of these would be a great combo.
ОтветитьI cannot help but agree with the unfortunate apsects of competitive pokemon. For example, almost all physical rock type moves are almost all less than 100% accurate. Only 4 exist: power gem, ancient power, smack down, and accelerock…
Meanwhile: Scald. 80 BP Water type move, 30% chance to burn, 100% chance to hit, removes freeze from user
Loved Lavos's team member names. Dude reads good novels.
ОтветитьUnfortunate
Ответитьidk how he can even be mad. he wasted so much of his turns just switching pokemon back and forth and healing the pokemon he already had in the field just to immediately get 1 shot. this guy was supposed to be good? yikes
ОтветитьThe "one last thing"- Paragraph is gold
ОтветитьWhat a cry baby sore loser. He crushed just to tarnish his own legacy by acting like an entitled child.
ОтветитьRip bozo
ОтветитьLol singles being RNG surprises nobody. Smogon specifically inhibits the tiers so they can only run a small set of teams with cookie cutter has sets. Completely uncompetitive and stupid. Do VGC where it's not just luck-fest
ОтветитьHe did the right thing.
ОтветитьIm sorry this man ragequit because of rng and the decided to play hearthstone thats funny
Ответить3 Fucking Critis in a row.
I was on a 13 losing streak, I have quit Showdown since that.
I've been thinking about hosting a tournament next year and calling it the choice cup, where the rule is Gen 9 OU but every pokémon must be holding a choice item. Pot would depend on how much I can save up and how many people would enter. What do you guys think?
ОтветитьA well spoken individual being wronged by unfair forces out of their control?
He is 100% a super villain he just hasnt shown it yet
Sure, his flinch was clutch and is the tie breaker as to why McMeghan won, but take a look at that Gyarados. Lum Berry + Stone Edge were perfect counters for the opponent. That might be gambling to some. Looks like planning to me.
ОтветитьLavos is my spirit animal. Prepare to fight, nerds!
ОтветитьPokemon showdown and smogon is bs anyways
ОтветитьGen 4 and 5 are not classic
ОтветитьI understand when he says the player base is toxic. I played some Smogon back in gen 5, and I remember a fight where there was a third person watching, whose sole purpose seemed to be trying to distract me with insults in chat. I ignored him throughout the match, and even when I made passing comments on how the fight was going, he'd tell me to shut up. Like he was my opponent's hype man or something.
I actually won that fight, due to getting 3 OHKOs with focus blast. Mr Toxic Fanboy was not happy.
Skill issue
Ответитьcompetitive Pokemon is really dumb, and Lavos was right. There are a lot of luck-based mechanics in Pokemon battle, like: accuracy, chance to cause secondary effect, chance to cause status, flinch chance. It can not be taken seriously
Ответитьhappens when you take a game competitively serious that isnt designed competitive a single bit
ОтветитьCompetitive Pokemon players when i show them simple fun
ОтветитьWhat an outstanding vocal performance btw. This guy slayed it
ОтветитьThe comment is insane, I hope he became a writer or something because he's clearly good at writing
ОтветитьHe should’ve saved his game before the fight
Ответить"I would have won if your attack didn't do what it's supposed to do!"
ОтветитьI do get his anger but like... brother. It's Pokemon. Even in single player it's like gambling, I'm sure we can all recall a time playing through the story of one of the games only to lose a battle to RNG, so while I get his rage I also don't because my man, you knew. You signed up for this.
Anyway, I'm sure he'll be fine, given his speech I'm sure he'd do wonders in the writing field!
Random number generators will always make games worse which is why i mostly quit Pokemon
ОтветитьImagine if this guy played poker online...
ОтветитьBro legit wrote a manifesto to announce his ragequitting, lol.
ОтветитьWell Pokémon always had a huge luck factor, personally I think this is suitable for PvE but not PvP combat. Would be cool to see a Pokémon version in the future that removes all luck from online battles.
ОтветитьLavos is in the planets core, biding his time until he can burst forth and bring about the end of the world, unless a time traveling palm tree and friends can stop him
ОтветитьMe when I get flinched four times in a row by Rock Slide:
ОтветитьHe's a genius, just got screwed over
ОтветитьYeah no he's right.
ОтветитьThis guy complained about pokemon's RNG and then went to hearthstone?
ОтветитьBased?
ОтветитьMcMeghan just believed in the heart of the cards.
ОтветитьIt's really funny seeing him rage while all his pokemon are named from stormlight archive characters
ОтветитьIt is so obviously he played like a dumbass in the rage quit. He is obviously a good player. I think he is just mad that he fucked it up so bad.
