Ex-Muslim here. He's right but nobody doesn't need to get to the bottom of this hatred. Every religion forces its believers to hate another religion. All those three Abrahamic religions are share the common background. Ancient Sumerian Religion and Western Anatolian religion culture. They've always fought each other to spread their influence.

Europe managed to supress the cleric influence over the people but Islamic world couldn't succeed it. Christianity has became an activity that people meet on sundays and chat. It's safe to say that Christian people have managed to "tame" Christianity but Judaism and Islam is still under cleric influence. For example if you let people of Israel and Palestinian people to their own. They won't fight each other if there's no religious influence.
