Another superb review by Neevesy, who is, in my opinion, the best motorcycle tester and journalist out there. A very objective, unbiased and factual summay of the V2S, which anyone in the market for this bike, could safely rely upon.

I sold my multistrada 950s because the seat was too tapered and my leg use to hurt after 2 hours riding, maybe it's solved

I'm looking to replace my 959 Panigale - I'm getting too old to be sat atop that thing. It's pretty much down to the V2S or Monster+. Thanks to Michael's review, I'm swaying towards the V2S. I really do enjoy Michael's reviews. No nonsense. No unnecessary superlatives. Bit like Ronseal.

Great reviews as always. Neeves is a down to earth, very thorough reviewer and very interesting to watch. A question for Neeves or others at MCN with experience with the Multi V2 S... I have heard reports that while the engine has plenty of torque and hp, the throttle response does not feel very direct. Some say they feel a bit of a disconnect between the throttle and the engine. Has anyone at MCN experienced this?

Totally Disagree!!. Its easy to do write up after limited testing but a completely different scenario on ownership and living with the bikes for extended periods..i.a.w..minimum 3 months ... I own a V4S and upgraded form a 1260 ..my 4 th multi and found the V4 a far far more stable bike, superior braking and better in almost every regard..sorry..you are mislead from a very short assesment..

I‘ve bought a used 950S from 2019 with touring package this year and it‘s the perfect bike for me. It’s agile in tight corners, stable in fast wide corners and you can do really long trips. It has enough power for almost every situation and the V2‘s growl out of the airbox is highly addictive 😂 I love it!!

This video is rubbish! I don't own any Multistradas, but I test rode almost all of them thoroughly, Including Multistrada 950 S (multiple times), and Multistrada V4 S. And Multistrada V4 S is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Multistrada 950 S in almost every aspect. V4 is not only way much faster an much more powerful than 950, but also much more comfortable. Multistrada 950 has much more engine vibrations than the V4, and wind protection on the 950 is not even remotely as good as on V4. Besides, V4 is many times more stable at the high speeds (check my channel) than any other adventure bike, including smaller Multistrada. V4 also sounds great - again, much better than 950.

Therefore, you're gonna be stoned to say that "Multistrada V2 is better than Multistrada V4 in almost every occasion": it's just isn't! The only aspects where Multistrada V2 is better than V4 is fuel consumption, and price. Although both is expensive AF, so doesn't really matters. In every other aspect Multistrada V4 is MILES better than Multistrada V2.

The V4 was always way overpriced and overpowered. This is the Multistrada for the people. This I am buying. The V4s was stupid. This is an actual reasonable modern bike. I can afford the V4s but I'm not paying near 30k for a fucking motorcycle.

As a new V4s owner coming from a Diavel 1260s and I am 6 feet tall I can say there are some hard comparisons between the V2S & V4S. May be subjective but the first day I rode back home from the dealer I had typical Pacific Northwest down pouring rain with a lot of wind and I had absolutely no buffering, this thing did outstanding in crappy conditions. However I’ve never owned a bike with a windshield or one that prevented wind buffeting so I’m used to the winds buffeting quite harshly & at times it was brutal but you get used to it, the V4S is great for taller riders & the gas range is great for me! Easy To handle at slow speeds & super nimble, the V2S seat felt cramped & it pushed me forwards. I’m thrilled I went with the V4S, no regrets, makes me appreciate the technology, design & comforts so much more than someone who is used to sports touring bikes.

Rode my 2017 950 to Ducati Cardiff yesterday and took out the V2s for a test ride. To me,their very nearly two different bikes. Love my Ducati and sad to part with her but the new version suits my riding style and distances far better. The 2017 is possibly better for long hauls as that wee bit more weight and softer seating make for a very stable ride. Thanks for the review and lightening my bank account👍🏻🤣

If they had this crap when I bought my monster…… I would not own a monster xD
As soon as I heard the seat height got lowered for the V2, I drove 150km to Luxembourg to sit on it. I gotta say, if it handles anything like my old BMW 650, I’m fucking sold 🤣 I sold it cause I could barely reach the ground. Tall/heavy people get all the cool toys!

I took both the V2 and the V4 out on test, for me the V4 was on another level, I’m 6’2” and the V4 was perfect, whee the V2 felt cramped and I was getting blasted by wind and severe buffeting, I know I can change to a touring screen or a wing but the general feeling of comfort wasn’t there, I think for a chap of my size the V4 just felt better, so I bought one, get it in May.

I love Neevesy but I got to say . I have got a 950S which I love, the induction bark is addictive and a great all rounder. But I had a V4S for a couple of days while mine was being serviced and omg it's a different league! I'm just over 6ft and it seemed to fit me better it felt stiffer but coped with potholes and bumps well. It felt more like a muscle bike but didn't intimidate me at all 170hp sounds crazy ! but it makes this bike far more exciting for me. Front wheel lifting over crests in 4th gear just mega. If you are taller , money is no object , you don't mind an extra fuel stop then ride the V4S ! I got back on my 950S and it felt like a children's toy !!

Bought the V2S in December 2021. It was one of the first purchased in Dallas. Just hit 600 miles and loving this bike. The stock sound of this bike is awesome. More power than you really need in the real world. I am surprised it is not the best selling Multistrada. A huge thanks to the guys at AMS Ducati in Dallas, Texas.

Thank you for this video
I agree with your conclusion. I think the Multistrada V2S offers a better compromise compared to the V4S.
The V4S is a great bike with a fabulous engine. But it is impossible to ride it on our roads without risking losing your license. It is impossible to ride at 80 km/h in 6th gear despite the V4's relief. Its consumption is excessive, the owners indicate us +7 l/100 km while driving light whereas the V2S is satisfied with 4l/100 km. That's quite a difference in range. I didn't like the sound of the V4S, I prefer the V2S.
The radar is really magic but it is not essential in my eyes.
In summary, I think that the V2S offers as much fun as the V4S.

Why don't you compare them both to the older 2010 and beyond Multistrada 1200S which is what I own (2014 Grandturismo model). I think it has the best of both worlds. 150bhp and lighter and more narrow than the V4 with better gas mileage. I also have the desmo valves and the single sided swingarm with 17" wheels which I love on the street. It's too expensive to repair even a slight tipover so I never take it offroad except for easy fireroads. I use my Yamaha WR250F, for offroad, because it's a dirt bike! I use a tiny PUIG clip-on wind deflector on the top of my windshield and it solves the buffeting problem. I'm 6'2" tall.

Good test just one point. A 830mm seat height is high and not "Medium" as MCN put on the review page. The ZRX1200 had a 790mm seat, 800mm worked on LC350s and BMW R1100s, the Laverday Jota was 810mm (and MCN complained how awkwardly tall that was). So the new Mutistrada lowering kit is for average male riders - not "shorter riders". But it is good that seat height it is getting more sensible as we need as many motorcyclists as possible - not just 6 footers and above.

Speaking as someone who is just under average UK height, 830mm is a stretch which becomes a problem if you have to paddle backwards in a parking space or traffic or if you have to stop quickly on sloping carparks etc. Actually dropped a KTM SMT when a lorry suddenly swung across me in a sloping car park and i had the wrong foot ready to go down : (
