Wish Gene Wilder was still alive, just enough to hear this and see this and tell us what he thought of it... Johnny Deep was so so, but Timothée Chalamet really impact that the younger version of Willy Wonka

This movie well exceeding my expectations. And the original with sooooo good. I’ve been obsessed every since we read the book and watched the movie in 4th grade back in 1993 😆
Timothee was born to play this role. Much respect to Gene Wilder! Wonka fan for life! 🍫

If this is the final time they try to make another Wonka then it was a privilege to have seen such a wonderful movie. Gene Wilder himself would have been proud. That being said I hope they can take this further someday in a good direction.

Just watched this movie last night with my gf and being a fan of the original I thought this one was a beautiful remake. Especially this ending, it’s just so beautiful 🥲

Strangely enough, this movie was a really happy movie that made me cry.

I initially didn't expect much from this movie, because in the trailer he just sings and sings , but after I watched it, it was really beautiful. There is not a single piece of cringe music in this movie❤

This makes me cry because as much as I like the original, I really like the Johnny Depp version too. Not only that, but it makes me miss 2005, right when Goblet of Fire came out and grew up watching the Tim Burton one. Life just felt so innocent back then, coming home and watching Nickelodeon. Early 00s were the best years of my life, years of pure imagination

I love the simple change at the beginning to “If you want to view paradise, simply look at them at view it.” Only a few words changes from the originally lyrics (which are sung later), but they add beauty to this scene!

imma be honest when i first heard they were doing a willy wonka prequel, i was pretty sceptical that it would be a souless cash grab. and then seeing Timothee Chalomet was playing Wonka that really didnt help. After watching the whole movie i can confidently say it lived up to my expectations 👍
