How do i protect my far out high external walls... i built a TC and tried to put a triangle roof to touch it but the TC still only says it needs wood and the high stone walls that are out of range of my first TC are still decaying 😅..please help

That's was the worst videonive ever watched.

Its not that simple. If no lock this works. But if they break the first ext the next tc takes over. And so on. So simple fix is lock your tcs.

You cannot "authorize" yourself in the TC, you can only destroy them, that is where you still do not have access to construction, that is where your theory fails

But if tc has lock on it and you should destroy it, then what?

so it just matters which external was built first rather than if one goes offline the others have your back huh thats neat

What happens if you have all Tc's authorized instead of just 1?

Does this work for console? do you know? If you dont know then I'll have to test it I guess

What would cause an external to disconnect itself and not allow a reconnect? No twig/roof is causing this and it just will not let me replace that last triangle to reconnect.

You can know which tc was place first, by shooting the wall of every external and then checking the combat log

The raiders still have to be lucky enough to know which one to go for

what if you build them all at the same time?
ie go around in a circle building them 1 peice at a time?

Great video, thank you! If you didn't see which ext TC they placed first, you can hit the foundations and check combat log, they have ID numbers and the lowest ID number is the oldest :)

Hopefully one of you answer this question but do the external Tcs have to be connected to the base for it to stop griefers from building on your base or building around it in general?and also do I have to put Tcs in my gatehouses so it dosent decay (I’m new)

So why do people build multiple tc's surrounding their bunker then? In case the second external tc is destroyed?

I don't know if I should make these on my solo base and I don't know how I would love a explanation on how far apart they should be and how to change them according to all base designs

From a logical perspective that makes ZERO sense. Because in theory, the TC's should take over in the correct chronological order, which would mean... Even if the second TC got taken, the 3rd will secure the base, after that the 4th, and so on. But i guess the problem is that RUST only allows one External footprint and with that also only one Externalt TC to connect to the main footprint/TC space.

i dont understand, always had to disconnect/destroy every external before replacing main TC, how can you replace it with 3 externals up? building privilege is overlapping

How does this apply on outer tcs, i mean anti grief tcs you place with only 1 or 2 foundations that doesn’t connect to the base’s own foundies. You just build them to make sure you can’t get griefed. Does it work the same or does the TCs have to be connected with foundations for it to work this way?

I feel as this shouldn't happen tho. I dont know maybe its just me
