Everdell - How To Play

Will be playing this soon with my family, and it is usually up to me to learn the rules to new board games we get. The manual left me with a few questions, and this cleared them up. Thank you very much! Also, that intro spin box move was pretty epic!

Can you do the game called Earth?

Do you need to setup the tree? 😊 Thx for this guide as allways.

We played this recently and have a debate. When you move your character onto the game board can you only place it one location each season? They're by forcing someone to change seasons? We were playing where you can move your players to multiple spots as much as you want and it didn't seem to make sense because nothing forced anyone to go to the next season?

So will the workers give you Ressources just once until preparing for a new season and placing them again?

How many retakes do you typically have to do in order to toss the game box in the air and catch it right side up?

We read the rules but this video helped secure answers to a couple of questions. We just had our first game of this ever and we loved it. So glad I bought it for her for Christmas. Thank you to the video as well as you did a great job explaining things. Very clear, very thorough and yet pretty concise all things considered.

Do destination cards automatically activate upon being played like all other card types, or do you have to wait until a worker is on the circle on the card?

THANK YOU. That was the Best Everdell How to Play that we saw. We opened Everdell tonight with an aim to play. The other videos we saw were very confusing. This cleared things up very nicely.

When it says “draw from the meadow” in summer, does that mean you add them to your hand or do they go straight to your city?

Love your channel! I have bought so many games by watching them here first. Everdell is cute, but I never feel like I have enough resources, or that the right cards come up. I don't know if it's an "us" issues, but the kids love the art so much we play it sometimes.

I got this game today and who do I go to for help with learning the rules? Our trusty resident teacher and best there is, Rodney Smith! 😆

Hey great video. Can you please recommend a board game that can be played together with a Smartphone? Like Kids Chronicles...

This answered so many questions. But, I am wondering still - can you move a player unlimited amounts of times before you have to go to the next season? Is there anything that forces you you go to the next season?

did that i hear that right, if you are done with the game and you do not wish or want to take any other actions in autumn, then the others can continue to play as long as they want???!!!! Finishing first gives you no davantage, then why should anyonre hurry???

Just got my copy of Everdell today and am already so excited to try it! Figured I'd have a look at some video explanations of the game on top of the rule book and you made it all so easy to understand; count me among your subscribers from now on, your passion and genuine excitement for each boardgame and their elements really shines through and makes it easy to understand. Where did you find the plastic trays?

How do we use the legendary cards that has a name at the bottom left? For example ruins, or theater at the bottom left in red.

Can you only move your workers once each season?

Rodney is without a doubt the best board game teacher out there. Whenever I get a game and I see he has a “how to play” video for it, I know I’m going to be a-OK. Thanks!

My grandson loves this one. Now I think I’m ready to try a game w him!

So,when you place your workers on a resource space, do you collect the resource every turn, or do you only take it once. For example, if I put my worker on the space with 3 sticks, do I get 3 sticks at the end of every turn, or just once?

So, players can be in different seasons, and if they progress to the next season and thus take their workers back, can you place your worker on a space reserved for only 1 worker before someone else does?

When our son taught us to play Wingspan, I was sure I'd never get it. And now it would be embarrassing to say how much we play it. Af first watch, Everdell looks like a huge learning curve, but looking forward to easing into it and discovering a new game. Thank you for this great intro.
