Excellent guide, so helpful! I'd also add another tip for Italy - ATMs most times dont charge fees but some bank ATMs are known to charge fees nowadays also, I recently got charged 5 euros at a bank ATM- so its worth finding those without fees. Then I used the ATM Fee Saver mobile app - it gives a list of the fee-free or low fee ATMs in Italy along with withdrawal limits for foreign card holders. I've used it many times and saves up on sooo much unnecessary expenses. Of course, decline conversion at foreign ATMs

TicketAppy is excellent for electronic public transportation tickets in Rome. It is not available in all regions however for those who live in Italy it is very useful.

Hi. I just discovered your channel and it’s great! Also, I am glad to learn that you think FreeNow is the app to have when requesting a taxi. But I am wondering if I can use it even at the major train stations and not have to wait in the line (e.g., Napoli Stazione Centrale). I’m excited to visit Italy again! UPDATE: I have returned home from my vacation in Italy and the app was great to use in Rome. It was not great to use in Palermo, Sicily for local travelling but was great to prebook for my visit to Monreale. And not surprisingly, the app is not available for use at the main train stations.

We are surprising each other with a dinner or activity for our 10 year anniversary. Is there a particular activity or dinner that you would recommend for a romantic celebration together? I’ve heard of the love lock bridge but wasn’t sure if that was encouraged or discouraged by locals. Thank you!
