How RAF Jets Would Shoot Down Hostile Aircraft

US Marines looking at this wondering how the hell they get in the air so quick

I wonder how they would fare if it was a full scale real invasion? I should imagine that along with bombers there would be fighter escorts too? And a lot of them. Am pretty sure as good as the RAF are they would be overwhelmed. How far would Russia need to get to the UK to be able to launch? Would they need to penetrate UK airspace or could they launch from afar? ( conventional setting)

I'm from a family in the uk that has served many generations in the military. Ww1, ww2, gulf War, Afghanistan and more. Army, marines, raf, Queen guards and more, my family serve in all ranks of military. The info the uk are recieving is frightening,were already fighting yet people don't realise.

Coming from a family with a lot of military history in it, I have the utmost respect for Her Majesty’s Air Force. One of the world’s finest aerial combat forces. Serving their Queen, defending their country. A rich and proud lineage. God bless the RAF.
