RTX 4080 Is Here! Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Review & Benchmarks

I am building a rig for blender (primarily) and for gaming in 60-70 fps in 4k . which nvidia graphics card should i purchase? which has the most value?
Should i go with the latest or cheap out now and wait for the 5000 series cards?
Please help😀

I got a Asus TUF Gaming 4080 for $999.99 on sale. Same price as the 7900XTX. So who's money hungry?

under 1000 thousand usd now in august 2023

What everyone fail to understand imo is that in many countries 4090 is way more than 1600 Usd, and you can actually find 4080 between 1 to 1.2k Usd. I found a 4080 in 1k usd new gigabyte, and 4090 is almost 1800 usd, so then it worth it.

Not good enough. For the price only the 4090 makes sense if your not someone who changes out every 2 years their graphic card.

7 months and still 1200 bs

In my region the 4090 costs 35% more than a 4080 for only a performance increase of 12% at 1440p and 23% at 4K (based on HB 13 game average).

Just picked up a 4080 brand new for about 900$. For that price I feel like I did very good. Switched from 7900 xtx which was literal aids. Caused instability and crashes all over the place. ( Yes it was the GPU, with other GPUs my system is rock solid.) I'll never buy high end AMD GPU's ever again.

I have a 4k monitor which GPU should I buy 4080 or 4070 ti? I will settle with 4k medium settings on some games if I really must.

1440p its only 24% faster than then 6950xt but now over double the price. YIKES!

Where's the VR benchmark? :(

So the 4080 is 87% the performance of a 4090 for 75% the price at 4k. Even less of a gap at 1440p. And its the worse deal how again? Oh right.. because of those two games no one plays. Gotcha!

Stop measuring GPU perfomance in FPS, it is not linear! Use average frame rendering time instead.

What is all this whining about the price? Don't buy it. Whats the issue? Some people seem to think they should be able to buy anything they want at the price they want or "BAD SUPER EVIL GREEDY COMPANY DO BAD THING REEEEEREE!" This is ridiculous. Not everyone can buy everything. If they could everyone woild have a Lamborghini and a G5. I don't hear you guys crying about the high price of a private jet or a 7 bedroom home on the beach. Why are cards supposed to be priced so that special, special you can afford them? If you can't afford it, don't buy it. Stop crying.

Here we are 2 months later and the 4080 still costs over 1250 euros.

My biggest question i have is why is the price higher?
-More money for boardpartners after EVGA story?
-Bigger margin for Nvidia?
-Higher development costs for new RT cores, new Tensorcores and new manufactoring process?

Even tho I got 3080 2 years ago, I'm really interested in getting this 50% difference between 4080 and 3080 fr.. thank you.

Yeah the pricing sucks. But what sucks more is paying that price to a scalper for a card that was half the price, knowing they are pocketing half of it. So personally I would rather give my money to Nvidia over letting a scalper make any form of profit or livelihood off my dime.

Blame me and that's okey but I bought today a 4080 Suprim X. Building my New PC and needed a GPU with power like that. I don't got the extra 600€ for a RTX 4090 and AMD didn't delivered. Even the 7900XT costs 1150€+ and these are not even the good customs. The 7900XTX is even more expensive. So paying the extra 100€ for better RT and Software Package was the only way to go. Pricing of Nvidia and AMD is still bullshit and if I wouldn't need a GPU I would never pay these amount of money. Such a shame

To all of you telling people to get the 4090 point me to one that’s in stock at msrp I won’t hold my breath so good luck trying to get one unless you live near a microcenter in all 4 that exist

Much better value than a 2080 ti RTX gimmick card for the same price $1200 msrp regardless of the title of the card. I understand the price argument but don’t at the same time lol much rather had this card as a choice than my 3080 ti coming from a 1080 ti

what i find more interesting is how extremely good the 6950xt is after all those juicy updates, early reviews didnt get it that close/over the 3090ti

but here i see it more often than not really close or over the 3090ti (remember it sucks a good amount less wattage than the 3090ti and costs a WHOLE lot less) so this makes me even more exited for the 7900xt/x

No card should have more than two 8-pin. If your card needs more power, reassess your power consumption.

Wished you had included 6700xt for it being the best bang for buck in most part of the world right now

They don't put a gun to anyone's head. But all of you gladly paid your friendly neighborhood scalpers double and triple the msrps during Ampere. Noone needs a new GPU. NOONE. You can buy a touring or ampere card for 300 bucks and it's going to be fine for pretty much everything. Not everyone can drive a Lambo.

Maybe I'll get 4090 and wait when better parts come out and if I'm willing to build it and use it with same pc case that I have lol 😆

nVidia had a chance to bury AMD by going hard and competitive, instead they've left the door wide open for AMD to come in and pull their pants down. I hope they get pantsed like Intel did.
