For me it would be weird not to hug my friends when I say hi, at least here in Mexico you do la bise and then a hug to a girl and with a boy you can hug and give like 2 pats on the back
ОтветитьJust use “ça va” and people will think you’re fluent in French
ОтветитьQuelle éloquence Tim
ОтветитьEvery episode it's way better than the previous one! I particularly love this one you make me laugh a lot! Love this podcast!!!❣️ Keep going guys!!!!🌹
ОтветитьChivalrous **
Ответитьlel i wish this convo was entirely in french with subtitles lol
ОтветитьSuch a funny episode! Guy-talk! I watch through the lens of having moved from the UK and, while enjoying America, notice the social differences, too.
In England, my female friends and I do what approximates to “la bise” but a smile and firm handshake is all between men.
In America, I don’t mind being hugged by a woman; I reciprocate with what has been described as “a stuffy English hug.” I can’t wait to be released when a man does so. 😂
In France, I do “la bise” with everyone.
Hugging occupies more personal space than shaking hands or cheek-to-cheek contact.
Chivalry! Yes, there’s a certain way to behave. No further comment!
D’ailleurs. Qui dit “wesh?” Les jeunes ou les plus ages comme vos parents?
love it.
ОтветитьLoved Pierre opinions👏 Great episode guys💛
ОтветитьEnjoyed this episode a lot! You should have Pierre come back again, he's great
ОтветитьIt’s nice to know about the difference of dating culture and your perspective about it. Peirre was an amazing guest! 🌹
I had fun watching. Very entertaining.
Hi hi, mon fiancé est français & I absolutely adore his family and culture, but I always feel so bad telling his family “non bisous si vous plait” when I see them. As an American it’s hard to find a balance between bisous & hugs in a greeting🥲
Ответитьhaha interesting to hear those things from a guy's perspective! great podcast 👍🏻
ОтветитьThis was my favorite episode yet! The energy and banter made me smile and laugh from start to finish. I didn’t want it to end. 😚
ОтветитьI did like it! Keep going . Love from Russia ❤️
ОтветитьLmao so true about the American high school diploma 😂 as an American now living in France 🇫🇷 I couldn’t agree more
ОтветитьPierre is hella funny
ОтветитьGlad y’all touched on blm
ОтветитьInsights while I’m listening:
I’m a high school teacher and we agree with you… Very relaxed, because we’re not allowed to be rigorous.
When you say Europeans are more romantic than Americans, we are not counting the English correct? 😅
Also, there’s a culture among American men that if the woman does not offer to pay half on the first date, then they are considered high-maintenance. That view has translated to women and now we think it’s impolite for us not to at least ask to pay half.
Pierre wins… 😏
Here’s my French question tho:
If you talk to a stranger casually at the bar, do you use the “tu” form, even though they’re a stranger?
fr my new favorite podcast
ОтветитьI love this episode. We need Pierre to comeback for the next episode!!!
ОтветитьGreat episode. As an American woman who grew up in the south and is a little older than you guys, I still expect a man to pay for dinner if he asked me out. Also southern men tend to have better manners and are always opening the door for you unlike the men in NYC who would rather let the door slam on you. The hook up culture is out of control here and trying to find a decent guy is almost impossible. Maybe I would do better dating in Europe.
ОтветитьWhat is your take on American culture regarding all the talk about not knowing what a woman is and the topics surrounding that? Are the French having the same problems? Are people in France upset about having gendered words?
ALSO- I am going to Nice for 3 months at the end of April, so I have been looking up French news and I have been seeing a lot of anti-semitic stuff- is France generally Anti-semitic? I am Jewish, that is why I ask. My mom and I love the podcast!
Continuez comme ça les gars, podcast très qualitatif!
Ответитьpourriez-vous parler de vos personnalités en chaque langue ? et quelle niveau d’anglais aviez-vous quand vous sentiez comfortable et vraiment toi-même ? merci xx
ОтветитьPierre can come back anytime! Also, I am from Columbus, Ohio we aren’t all close minded I promise you😉
ОтветитьLes épisodes sont de plus en plus intéressants. Le concept est sympa: des français qui parlent de leurs cultures en anglais. Comme dirait George Clooney : "what else???" La bise de Marseille 😉👍🏾
ОтветитьI didn't know the French culture was this close to my culture for example we do the cheek kiss but the difference is that girls kiss girls and guys kiss guys and i can remember you talked about people getting jealous when they see you're becoming successful and tryna push you down and a lot of other things that I can't remember right now. I think I'm gonna have less cultural shock if I visit France😅
ОтветитьLoved this episode. Finally someone saying that football is the one played with the foot 😮💨
Ответить94!
ОтветитьFavorite one so far! He was such a lovely guest with a beautiful voice
ОтветитьGreat guest and banter. Do more videos on dating pls because understanding French men as a Brit has been surprisingly challenging! our dating culture is wayyy more similar to the US. I think I even learned about dating and all the "rules" from American shows like The Hills
ОтветитьAmerican men pay.
ОтветитьGeste fort! Elle est où la mafia Française a LA?
ОтветитьPierre is educated, handsome, disciplined, down-to-earth, and his Instagram inspires others to be their best! I'm sure there's a flaw in him somewhere but right now, he's knocking it out of the park or I should say, he's scoring a hat trick every day! What an interesting conversation. I learned some French words and learned about the differences in French and American culture. And... I laughed a lot. All 3 of you have wonderful accents and great personalities. Great show. Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьOh la la
ОтветитьHow are you ❤
ОтветитьOof, that guy melts my heart. What a hunk! 😊😊
