I have seen this refueling fly over where I live in NW PA. Always an interesting site to see. Over PA here, the refueling would occur at 3 to 4 miles up usually with the C5 being refueled.
Speaking of refueling here, it would be fascinating if I could see a jet being refueled at 30000+ feet leaving behind a thick vapor trail of the combined jets whether the plane being refueled be a C5, B52, a fighter jet, etc.

ОтветитьActually got to see a -135 refuel a C-5 from the ground (an extremely rare sighting) about 17 years ago (back when some -135s still had the J-57-P-59W engines). Heard the C-5s engines going over and looked up and THEN saw the -135. Cool to see.
ОтветитьBut why do they need to refuel midair??
ОтветитьIs the kc135 really that small?
ОтветитьOnly 20 KC-135Rs were modified with the multi point refueling system, to refuel two fighters at once.

That was a fantastic vid thank you I really enjoyed it and learned so much about the armed forces that work tirelessly to protect our freedom 24/7 🫡 thank you
ОтветитьOh wow, planes are mating.
ОтветитьHello
ОтветитьWe are the hardest military in the world as long as we don't get arrigant hello likes Brits in revelation war they thought we were couards because we hid behind rocks and trees hoverer we went back to nepilean tactics and British stuffs and stand in a line and get shot down how excuse me how fucking
Stupid hello
I was raised in topeka went to comesarry and went to base hospital. When no more functional base the coyotes national guard refulers the military never gave up that base if needed the government will have full functional base to attack anywhere in the world in 24 hours. I new that 40yrs ago
ОтветитьAwesome.!👍
ОтветитьC5 galaxy
ОтветитьI refueled the C-5 a few times, it was a pain, the bow wave made you stiff arm the boom as it was pushing up so hard. We had a half hour of practice hookups, it was not fun.
ОтветитьSo that duck shared food with eagle
ОтветитьUsaflatin 🤣
Ответить10>135
ОтветитьDo these tankers have a weapon system
ОтветитьC5M: so little buddy, if you just give me the fuel i wont hurt you, do you understand??
KC135: lowers probe
I've seen this kind of mid-air refueling in the movie Stealth. I didn't realize they actually do this in real life! Oh, imagine having been able to that with solar power. That'll make gasoline a thing of the past.
ОтветитьKc-135 is small???? Lol
ОтветитьNANI?!
ОтветитьKC-135 operates at March Air Reserve Base , Riverside , California.
ОтветитьBest video ever...👍
ОтветитьAn RAF Vulcan pilot who took part in the Falkland Islands raids mused, that inflight refuelling was like: "Trying to remotely slip a piece of limp spaghetti up the arse of an angry tom cat. With success or failure being a matter of life and death."
Which likely explained his nervous twitch.
Just a bunch of totally UNrelated info!!
ОтветитьJet fuel! That is kerosene. It is flammable in low spark and hot.
Diesel and pure gasoline use in daily life and transfers.
Alcohol fuel is low flash point and speedy volatility.
Air fuel prices higher! Staffs are
dangerous and cautious in runaways.
Crude oil distribution chimney plant boils degrees.
Refining petroleum.
Pitch to high octane!
I suggest that we try to mix Catalyst properly.
Make safer then build up your abilities.
150,000 fuel, that must be like , a real lot many of fuel... shitty documentaries everywhere
ОтветитьInteresting video. Also interesting is that a C-5 hit a 135 for a top off (probably for training.) The main reason the KC-10 exists today is because of the excessive tankings the KC-135 had to do for the C-5 over the Atlantic and Mediterranean during the '73 Mideast war.
Ответитьat 1'25'' where's the screw/bolt?
ОтветитьSize doesn't matter. Woah
ОтветитьThose engineers that designed the KC-135 were definitely geniuses and that goes for the B-52 as well
ОтветитьFun fact: The first aircraft’s Dedicated crew chief is a part of my team at Macdill. Crew chief🔥 inspected it many times
ОтветитьThe C5 says thank you sir...may I have another?
ОтветитьWould always see the KC-135 flying on training missions around Scott AFB in Illinois, where some are stationed. To pilot one must be neat, as they are substantial aircraft - that is, until you look in the rearview mirror and see a big old FRED about ready to fly up your A$$.
ОтветитьThere is no KC-130 shown in this video. The USAF does not fly a KC-130 (The USMC does) the aircraft shown were a mix of C-130 transports & MC/HC-130 Special Operations aircraft.
Ответитьthe KC135 looks like the 707 to me.
Ответитьサムネ詐欺やんけ
ОтветитьMy dad was crew chief on the galaxy.
He has countless VHS of his in-flight refueling .westover arb chicopee ,ma."patriot wing" Fred was like my big brother.
Bosna I Herzegovina voli zapad
Ответитьsadly it can not refuel Trump
ОтветитьI just need the music that you put it in the background
ОтветитьKC-10...........?
ОтветитьThis has so many errors I can't even start to list them all. Very poorly done.
ОтветитьI would rather have narration of the video rather than reading the description 🤔
ОтветитьEs un antonov?
ОтветитьThat boom operator looks like he's been in since they used to refuel pterodactyls.
