The level of contrast on this video makes it totally lose the value of the content.
ОтветитьYamaha needs to change that ugly headlight and speedo.
ОтветитьBrilliant video.
ОтветитьKawasaki boring like hondas no character
ОтветитьXSR900 will be my next bike and I'm buying the racer kit for it with the front cowl, it looks insanely good
ОтветитьBest video will be Hayabusa vs the rest of the world😂😂😂❤❤❤
ОтветитьEddie Lawson was more successful aboard his Yamaha YZR500 than he was on the Kawi. Yet everyone associates him with Kawi.
ОтветитьThe fins on the Kawasaki do provide some cooling.
ОтветитьThe Yamaha is ugly.
ОтветитьOld guys fell in love with new tech
ОтветитьOk...buddy with the yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah....needs to stop. Irritating AF
ОтветитьI feel that the Kawi is a beautiful bike while the Yamaha is kind of ugly. I have a z900rs cafe and I really like it.
ОтветитьThe beautiful Kawasaki Z900RS is my dream. A real masculine engine. The Yamaha is extremely ugly and I don't like its sound either. I generally don't like any Yamaha models. It looks like such a gay bike.
Z900RS the best! 💪🏻🤠
The Yamaha’s round headlight and square dash just doesn’t work for me.
ОтветитьAsking for a quick shifter on a retro bike that’s designed to take you decades back as safely as possible is beyond dumb.
ОтветитьIt's pretty bizarre that people insist on comparing these two bikes. They're really not for the same person and they fill different roles.
ОтветитьA quickshifter would spoil the z900rs to a degree. The whole point is to get the experience of a classic bike but have modern reliability and performance.
ОтветитьI can totally agree with thoughts on Z900RS. I was in love with this bike when it came out but in my country the price is even higher and to be honest it really lacks features comparing to yama. Q&D would be nice but since it has one of the most comfortable seats on the market, cruise control could be a very useful addon. Display is outdated (but really like those analogue dials ❤). and they making bike more expensive every year without changes (i know that everything is getting more and more expensive). Chassis and brakes are also worse but I could definitely live with it since I am not planning to take it on track days 😊 Right now the price in my country is 13300 vs 10500 GBP against Kawa so even if you love the style there is much to think because you are choosing much more expensive bike with worse performance and features🤔
ОтветитьCURB not kerb
TIRE not tyer
TIRES not tyers
TUESDAY not chewsday
If only the Yamaha didn’t look awful 🤷🏼♂️
ОтветитьWhy would you bang on about a quick shifter? Most can't ride their sports bike and a quick shifter won't help that
ОтветитьPhil Collins reviewing bikes from his era!!.Chad, can you feel it in the air tonight!!
ОтветитьI think these are both great bikes but with different target customers. The Z900RS will likely appeal to us older folks who want more comfort, need to carry a pillion and are not really interested in improving our lap times. I think the XSR will likely appeal to a younger demographic who still like to spend time getting the front wheel airborne . . . . . mmm that being said maybe it appeals to me more than I thought - memories of my RD400!
ОтветитьNot much else to say to two experienced road test journalists that are reviewing the Z900RS and talking about quick shifters and track days: personally I'd do more homework as to who this bike was, and is aimed at, and its people like me, born in the early 60's that had the original Z1 poster on his bedroom wall in the early 70's and dreaming of owning one some day: for me that day has arrived and its a stunning machine for laid back riding, not very often in the sun unfortunately, but smelling the rape seed in the countryside and still drooling as you pass the shop windows in the town at the kind of speeds that really don't need a quick shifter!!
Ответитьput a 7" tft on the xsr, to be great; then add tpms to have everything,
ОтветитьThat Yamaha misses the mark on “retro” by a wide margin. The Kawasaki on the other hand hits the mark perfectly.
ОтветитьThe Yam looks just like a modern day bike and looks crap, the exhaust is a disgrace and looks discoloured to hell and knackered. The Kawasaki is much smarter not as good looking as the original but much better looking than the Yam.
ОтветитьLets hope they build and sell it.
Ответитьok, but what area you ridning in? what road is that???
ОтветитьYou’re a bad man, Mr H. I bought a Tracer 9GT+ because of you’re praise for the bike and love it so much I’ve now ordered an XSR 900 GP
ОтветитьDifficult to compare these two bikes, as they are inspired by a whole different era. At first I wanted a z900rs, but ordered a XSR. The price, features, handling and amazing cp3 engine are just better. Since I own also a '83 honda cb1100f, the kawi would look too classic next to it for me.
ОтветитьBoth bikes are good looking, but the XSR not as obvious. In person and in blue it looks great but not to everyone’s taste. Initially I was underwhelmed but it grows on you, even the weird underslung exhaust.
TheZ900RS is very nice but the cooling fins bother me as it is liquid cooled;a minor criticism. The Z900RS also sits a bit higher so do a sit test - not unmanageable but might be a bit high for some as a commuter. It also should have cruise control for the price.
FOR 2 UP; AND THE SEATS. I'D TAKE THE Z900
ОтветитьTHE IDEA IS TO KEEP IT CLASSIC, AND NOT UPDATE THE LOOK ! ALSO KEEPS PARTS EZ WITH ACCESSORIES; COMMON.
ОтветитьThe Kaw looks cooler to me but it's over 1000 dollars more for some reason , so that's a deal breaker .Both Kaw and Yamaha are tied for my favorite cycle companies, simple as , Honda 3rd.
ОтветитьChristmas Eve 2023 Santa brought me a lime green 💚 kz 900 rs cafe , my dream bike . Shopped for a year test riding , every manufacturers " sport touring" bikes . Leaning toward retro performance oriented machines . My first ride on ZED , an it was love at first ride . This summer is my 42 nd year of riding . I'm siked an anches for spring.
ОтветитьIt's weird how you talked about how good the turning radius was on the XSR900 and touted it as being agile. At the end of Daily Rider's review, he show how horrible the turning radius was in a parking lot test as one of it's few flaws. So which is it? Great or horrible?!
ОтветитьDisappointed that honda can't continue a retro super sport,I found a 1977 cb750f with 6000 miles at garage sale about 30 years ago,put a electronic ignition in it and rode it for 20yrs without a single problem
ОтветитьI love the Yam engine, exhaust sound, and cornering capability, but I ended up buying a Z900rs Cafe. The first thing I did was change the tires. The riding position was just a bit cramped for me on the XSR.
ОтветитьI think in terms of riding quality, in real world, the kawasaki is way better. In real life roads are crap, and firmer suspention is worse if you want to ride for hours.
ОтветитьI’ve owned 2 big Zeds, currently on Z1000. I’m gonna get the XSR900, I’m bored with in-line 4s and that 3 sounds sweet, and more than 20 kg lighter as well.
ОтветитьPut the Kawasaki's dash pod and headlight on the Yamaha and they'd have something.
ОтветитьZ900rs at speed kick down and pin the throttle😮 no clutch needed on up shifting😊
ОтветитьKwaka is something you hop off and and admire everytime.
The yammy, not so much.
Old mate riding the bike was biased as hell. Shit review.
The yamaha looks like every other sport bike made today and its loaded down with electronics. The kawasaki looks great and has abs and traction control that does its thing in the background. Bikes at this price point and power, I dont want a ton of rider aids. Quick shifters are cool but I'm not racing or even going fast. I personally enjoy clutching or floating the shifts myself.
ОтветитьThese guys are great. Excellent video.
ОтветитьNo contest its the Kawasaki everytime, it looks retro whereas the Yamaha well just doesn't, far to much tec and not enough style.
ОтветитьKtm 890smt vs Ducati Hypermotard, please?
ОтветитьWill always pick z900rs anytime.
Ответить
