I have a question is there always 5 pins or it can be more ?

I take it you won't feel the binding of any pin unless you're applying gentle pressure to the core at the same time as feeling

i dont know if you will answer but i see in the video you go with your pick just straight up from down to up (6-12) but i have a lock i need to go like from 5 to 11 if you understand what i mean why is that?
