First iPhone vs First Android Phone! (iOS 1.0 vs Android 1.0)

iphone was ahead of its time compared to android

noone copied noone of these, I had 6 years ahead of android a pocket pc with windows also there were phones namely "qteck" with pocket windows. These are where the android is based on Iphone obviously could not be first as they relay on other companys hardware. I am surprised how there is still this misconception that iphone was the first phone with apps and touch screen.

Now Android overcame Iphone in terms of both technology and popularity.

Regarding battery, one could actually make the argument that the android phone has better battery, since if you carry an extra with you in your handbag for example, you could simply pop the back open and slot in a new fully charged battery.

I'm all iphone now I can't stand android. But back then I thought android was better.

It would be cool if they recreated the 1st android but of course bigger display, up to date camera and operationg system and the mechanical built in keyboard was way cool, not to mention all those buttons to help out

I think a more fair comparison would be this Android device o the iPhone 3G, which were both released in 2008.
