It just needs the crazy bloom effect back (and car reflections) and then it'd be about perfect.

The world looks like GTA 5 but the art directions & reflections are kind of destroyed. I think all companies need to invest in this. Remastering games have never been easier. With some effort EA can release the best version of this game without spending a ton.

Come on, EA, how hard would it be to create a proper Underground 3? Use U2's style as a foundation, maybe even reuse Bayview's setting (but enlarge the map), add cops similar to Most Wanted's police system (not the crazily aggressive NFS Heat cops who slam into you and take you out as if you're riding a golf cart), add some more cars and call it a day.

Honestly with that first side by side I thought the right image was the mod since the glass on the building is see through and the road has more detail. The mod just looks so dull and I don’t like it all

I literally just installed UG2 yesterday.
But got it from a repack.

And have downloaded this mod pack.

i tried installing it, but it didn’t want to start.

Another issue im having is when i connect my PS4 controller.
The buttons are all weird.
With like square being “accept”

And “X” being back.

And the Dpad doesn’t work properly so i cant read messages with the controller.

and i cant assign the buttons in the menu.

Tried a controller repack mod. But that didn’t work either.

If anyone knows how to help me with this.
Id very much appreciate it.

I think underground 2 will just great and more enjoyable using og sleeping dogs graphic, with nfsworld car models gpu friendly

Carbon was somewhat OK in my opinion, but the helpers lack of dyno and weird car handling just made it feel dated against most wanted or Underground 2😅

Since u mentioned handling of these classic games i think the handling in Carbon is actually the best in the series, it’s so smooth and controllable (tuners are the best) and there’s a distinct difference between each car class

This is how you ruin a good looking game.

I think once they get the basics implementation perfect, they can focus on the atmosphere. Because the glow of the city and all the neon on the buildings are missing.

Between street lights seems almost too dark? But other areas are now far too bright. Maybe that means introducing back some small amount of artificial ambient lighting? 🤷🏻‍♂️

ea took so damn longo to remaster NFSU2 that the community did lol say goodbye to that money ea corpos!

it trashes the art direction IMO. it doesn't look good to me at all. Blackbox brought on Hollywood directors and stuff for both underground games for the visual styles/aesthetic and "sense of speed", this throws it all out for some pretty generic looking lighting and the paint on the cars all look matte and the menu scenes are all blow-out and bright. no thanks, ill just continue using the base game with the widescreen mod and the higher res screen-space-reflections mod, it preserves the original game's artistic direction just at higher resolution.
