ОтветитьGreat tutorial, but I wasn't able to get the transparency/alpha to work. It ended up controlling the smoothness of the plane rather than the transparency. I even tried using the builtin Lit shader. It shows correctly in the scene view, but when the game runs, it changes transparency to smoothness. But this is just one problem, and I appreciate the rest of the tutorial a lot.
ОтветитьIf Depth colors are not showing go into graph setting in the graph inspector go to universal and surface type to transparent
then in your material tab open the color and increase alpha its defaultly set to 0 for some reason.

ОтветитьAs soon as I connect the alpha, all my colors are gone and it's completely see through... any ideas on how to fix that?

ОтветитьIf you are struggling to get the alpha to work, a workaround is to take the output of the clamp into a separate add node, add a small amount like 0.5 then use that as alpha input. This essentially uses the gradient seen near the beginning with a little added to prevent it being fully transparent (invisible) near the water line.

ОтветитьThanks, good tutorial. Had to convert the settings over to non-PBR graph, but was able to do some tweaking just to get the right setup. 👍

ОтветитьAny idea how to get this to work in VR (SinglePass)? I don't see any shine or ripples, its just a smooth blue plane that wiggles. This is my 4th attempt/asset, why is water so hard to get to work in VR?
ОтветитьDisplacement doesn't work. It raises the entire plane up and keeps it there no matter what and you cant use the displacement value to adjust it. not sure whats going on with this

ОтветитьI appreciate the effort that went into this but it really needs something like "for experts" in the title. It would be much more useful to have something about 4x as long as this that explains the steps in more detail.
It's not possible for me to follow along or really even understand what's going on because there's so little information in each step and the pace of the tutorial is so rapid.
My computer almost died in the intro, even when it wasnt the one running the game.
