I think judging in skating is not consistent, Anna won this time because of higher scores in overall components and artistry, while Trusova had a higher technique. Alina Zagitova won Medvedeva because of her higher technique and because she had all jumps at the second half while Medvedeva had a higher level of artistry. Why are they not consistent? They should make a choice at last on what they prefer more. There should be consistency in judging. In this case, if they don’t value the technique like Trusova’s, why did they give the second place to Medvedeva in 2018? and vice versa, why are they preferring artistry over the technique more this time?

I have watched this video for 3 years and I finally have the courage to say this Alexandra Trusova got 106.16 point in her free program anna shcherbakova (no hate) got 100.49 alexandra got more points than anna it was just the axel that costed her the gold medal again I respect both skaters and I love them both either way we cannot go back to the past it happened someone wins and someone gets second

Horrendous skating. This was ice jumping. Her spiral was offensive to figure skating purists.

Ну и почему не дать ей выступить в командном турнире на ОИ? Понятно же что при любых раскладах у нее было бы первое место и 10 баллов для сборной.И сборную не лишили бы заслуженного первого места и ее золота Олимпиады🤔.Надо было более разумно распорядиться женским потенциалом для командного зачета,а не делать ставку только на одну фигуристку.Конечно же Сашке обидно.Я вообще-то никогда не была ее фанаткой,но спустя время пересматриваю ее прокаты, особенно этот, понимаю,там такой потенциал,с которым работать и работать, и отдача была бы феноменальной.Умница,программа и катание на разрыв аорты 🙋👍👏👏👏💐💐💐

I watched the gold performance, and stopped because nothing that girl did impressed me. This girl opens with impressing me (and the crowd) and keeps doing it to the point that I can't stop thinking HOW IS THIS NOT GOLD. Also how has no one given her the Brian Boitano treatment? Come on internet musicians I expect better.
