Watching and learning in my 40s

I’m 25 starting my real career soon because I’ve been working hard at low paying jobs for years. I’ve been working since I was 16 so I know a lot about what to do in certain situations and how to manage my finances and live below means. Also the most important thing is not falling into lifestyle inflation ie when I got an well paying job wanting to buy more luxurious things. It’s better to just stick to the basics. Also I found the rule if you can’t buy it three times you can’t afford it. Also not buying expensive cars because it’s not as important as housing. I’m glad I’m debt free.

How to get out of credit card debt ? Best ways ???

I hope im not mistaken. I learnt that sometimes active income is more valuable due to investment in skills to further upgrade income . After that it makes sense to set money aside in passive income. This is refreshing.

Thank you Nischa, I was diagnosed with a chronic illness in my late 20s and wasn’t able to work, had to leave education with 1 year left to go 😢 and was in debt. Over the last 3 years, I adjusted to my illness, worked really hard, retrained in a different field, opened my own business during lockdown, became debt free last year and have savings for a house deposit. Have been following you for the past 6 months and you’re information is a true blessing. X

The most important piece of advice here is about creating a new basket. Jobs never work out forever. The politics get worse as you get older as well.

Great tips. Could you please talk about how to invest in property? If you have a if deposit, would you put it all in one property to have cheaper mortgage or spread in investing in two properties? Do you use letting agent to manage your tenants? With changes in tax, it feels rental income is no longer lucrative like before.
