I bought a ludicrously priced 1 metre JIB Boaacoustic Blueberry Series Optical Toslink HiFi cable. I replaced the supplied Toslink and set back to listen. I “imagined” the sound to be cleaner and more detailed. Am I nuts?

Guitar cables are highly susceptable to tone suck-out. The longer the cable, the more capacitance is applied and the treble frequencies will be weak. Keep your pedal board to a minimum so your cable isn't too long and also get a buffer; BOSS pedals have a buffered bypass so you won't lose your tone.

Signal degradation is rough. I had the most messed up problem with a long usb cable extender, and it wasn't a matter of "it either works or it doesn't". The USB cable was "mostly" working but my mouse would occasionally freeze for a second and then resume. Mostly harmless, but for a gamer this won't work. Also the lights weren't syncing on my peripheral devices.

It was hours and hours of troubleshooting before I figured out it was the usb cable extender. I didn't understand about signal degradation in long cords. It's really, really frustrating.

can i connect a USB to HDMI adapter in powered usb hub? does it affect the quality of the display?

HDMI cable length does matter, when it goes far beyond a meter or 2 when it really shouldn’t…. for watching a picture on TV. That’s why they use fibre optic cables, for billboards 10 times the size of your normal TV.

i also… recently bought a fibre optic, HDMI cable; and they are really good too. Especially for very long lengths. I’m using this fibre optic cable… from my pioneer receiver, into the tv.

i recently bought 4… 0.5 meter, (the shortest you can get) ULTRA HDMI 48Gbps cables, for my pioneer amp for various devices going into the tv; freesat, blue-ray player ect…. and i found that, there is a noticeable difference.

ok agreed. but please explain why my audioquest cinnamon cable makes such insane difference in picture quality over regular cable. I can clearly see the difference. I think silver conductors make the difference. quality of materials

can you please make a video comparing cheaper CCA network cable vs Pure copper cables in a speed comparison, i know CCA cable are not meant to be used with POE applications due to the resistance of aluminum but as normal home networking how does it fare, for normal internet and data transmission. i feel this is very relevant in today's times as a lot of cheaper cables are finding they way to stores where a lot of people not knowing there's a difference end up buying it, and once you cut it there is no returning it so it will be a very educational Video and if you do end up getting it will it be safe to use for non poe applications :) this will be nice new Vids for you to make and very educational to the rest of the world

Am looking to get a lan cable to bridge the gap from downstairs router .. I'm aiming for 50 ft.. now would that hinder my game speeds ? If that doesn't work I'm looking at either a booster or extending the coaxial 50ft with a connector to move the router up I would prefer to go cheap first as its only for the next year
