STOP Soft Plastics From Melting Together: How To Store Them Correctly

Hi tony, I recently started using gulp soft plastics. I purchased one of those gulp plastic screw on top containers to store my gulp lures. Will I be able to store different gulp lures in the same container as long as there is some of the liquid scent in there. Hope I’m not confusing you. Thanks

I sometimes use fish oil and it seems to work with keeping soft plastics soft and it seems to increase the fish strikes.

Completely agree. Always best to keep your soft baits in the original packaging. But if you MUST put Z-man in a storage case, the only approved case is the Flambeau “k-series”. This is a Styrene based plastic that doesn’t react like the cases that are readily available.

I keep all my soft plastic baggies in a Z-Man bait Lockerz, holds over 30 baggies, better than the binder IMO.

I had gotten some slam shady paddle tails from salt strong a few months ago. And I love them. I haven't used artificials very much before seen trying the slam shady paddle tails I'm hook on them.
Where can I buy a big bag like of them ? Like the bags you show here in this video.

This video came one week too late for me. I made the mistake of storing a couple of baits in my bag I take in the Sea Doo. I try to limit my gear because of the limited space and last week I opened my bag and it was a puddle of goo! Luckily I only put three in the bag so not a big loss but I hate to loss any. Only really a zman and Yamamoto iusse . You mint have you white plastic turn a little pick in you mix strike king with other stuff. Other then that all the other stuff seems ok

Would you recommend drying the soft plastic after use before returning to the pack?

What is your opinion on mixing different plastics in a liquid within a bait locker (assuming you always watch to make sure the liquid is at a sufficient level and keep it stored in a location that is not hot)?

Definitely wish information like this was a little more noticeable when getting into fishing. Usually buy the same/similar brands for plastics and they all play nice together. But bought a sort of "blind bag" of soft lures, not knowing a couple of them were made from a different type of plastics and just found out a couple sleeves of my storage melted together. Good to know for the future at least, wasn't sure if things got too hot somehow originally but this answered that eh.

Thanks. But I've been googling storing baits when I travel. It gave me you but guess I need to ask difent way. Which do you travel state to state fishing. I'm fixen to I buy cheaper baits yard sale baits what ever I can afford to buy from my dis check and having yard sales to buy baits. But I don't buy alot hard baits cause we can't afford to but I do have some china baits. Some yard sale baits. But how do I store the baits in my ride. I'm trying to buy another bus or rv and pull a trailer. But was gonna drive .y truck but can't store baits in back of a truck long or my flat trailer I have tool boxes on it for fishing gear well can't store plastics. Do I need a bus with air or rv with air so I can run that alot to keep it cooler during the summer. Now I watch Scott Martin he has them big draws pulls out the camper shell with plastics. So I'm shur when he gets home he emptys his truck. But what about if it's out for weeks. Does he take I'm his room what do you do. I can't afford to lose alot plastics cause I can't work anymore barly walk I use scooter and wheel chair now. But I want to go to 10 states giving away baits to alot low income and special kids till I have no more to give them retire and weight for God to call me home. why do my lures get sticky over time?

Can you store loose worms in ziplock brand bags with out it damaging the worms?

What a pain of convenience

Can you put some kind of oil on your plastic worms to make them slimy and to rejuvenate them? Maybe some kind of vegtable, sunflower oil?
