are infrared heat lamps good or bad for skin? For example with a halogen lamp?

Hello hope you are well my question is what level of nm wave output is effective. What level output does offices use as there is a level that’s touted as effective. So are you advising it needed to be blue and red light is best

The light probably helps, coz when I first used it, one of my colleague asked if I did something with my skin and she sees some improvements.. she didn’t know I was doing this.. I was quiet surprised by it. We see our face daily and might not see the results, but maybe it works .. but I also noted that it was blurring my vision so I stopped using it.

Hello Dr Dray, i want to start with red light therapy. I have a lot of tattoos and i'm wondering if they get damaged/bleached by red/infrared light. I can't find any reliable information on the internet. Thank you in advance.

I think that the current consensus is that red and near-infrared light is good for your vision, not harmful. I feel like my vision is sharper with brighter colors after using red/NIR light.

I splurged on a Joovv and do not regret it at all! Love red light/NIR therapy. Helped my sore ankle/foot too.

Exposure to LED lights can lead to premature aging, skin cancer, and eye damage. They sell LED lighting because it cost pennies to produce. The way they get away with using LED lighting is because it doesn't give you cancer instantly. It's too late 20 yrs later though, when you're in kemo therapy, which is nuclear radiation, and your body is dead because of it.

You think having the flu is nasty ? Wait until you go through kemo.

I got the Omnilux light therapy mask a few months ago. I find it uncomfortably bright even with my eyes closed. I researched red light-blocking goggles and bought a pair, however, they are only minimally helpful. If anyone has a goggle recommendation that effectively blocks or diminishes the brightness, I'd be grateful. Thanks!

Can you use led red light with a pacemaker

I use it every day on my face and neck, clavicle area...Had some spots there that were very noticable and damn, if this light mask didn't minimize them greatly. I have less redness to my skin on my face and feel like I don't need to use so much makeup. I do think that one should protect their eyes when using these devices.

I just purchased omnilux red light mask. Praying it helps my neck. I’m going to use on face and neck. I hope I see a difference by summer for tank top season. I also purchased nu face. Going to dermatologist frequently for neck wrinkle treatment is expensive.

Planet Fitness has a Body Angel(?) machine you stand in that treats the whole body. It also has the vibration plate you can use simultaneously. DO NOT use the vibration plate for the full 12 minutes like i did! Lol. I could hardly walk back into my office. Full body workout. Believe me! Only $20 a month and you get unlimited access to everything in the gym including massage tables and tanning(don’t recommend. Melanoma increased by 50% after one use!) I dont work there but cheap way to get whole body infra-red light treatment. YW!

According to you if Tretonal can be used and not have irritation when using Red Light and Infra Red light, then It sounds like it is fine to use retinal and the different retinoids on your skin as well, as long as you don't use it on your skin when actually using the red lite. However, they say to not use anything on your skin when using the red and infra red light, but it seems like if you used a really essential oil or cream on your skin it would make the session even better, as it will help penetrate the oil into the skin and give you great moisturing benefts. Is it possible to get benefits from the oil while still getting the full skin tightening benefit of the red light?

I’m so confused. I just came from your video talking about how near infrared radiation is destructive to collagen (due to creating reactive oxygen species) and we don’t have a sunscreen to protect us from it. So how is NIR in these devices regenerating collagen?

Is it their lack of significant heat output that makes the devices safer? Does NIR radiation from the sun produce heat that creates reactive oxygen species that damages skin?

I use the Qure mask. I like it seems to be helping. They advertise it as clinical grade. It’s only three minutes per day I’m wondering if ok to use twice daily ?

Bought my bio face wand for 30$ and it definitely works. I use squalene to roll it on neck and face. My neck had a lot of fine line and since using this for a week, I notice a difference…it works

I began using a Hooga device without infrared and loved it, but I noticed that I developed a spot on my collarbone after using which is brown and fleshy colored and a tiny bit raised. I didn't have that before so I stopped because I was worried it would cause something strange on my face. But I'm just not sure if the light caused it. It just seems strange that it appeared out of nowhere a day after I used the device and I had been using about 5 min a day only each session. Does anyone know or have had the same thing happen? I'm bummed because I enjoy using it and feel like it was giving me a fresher look.

I'm perplexed about the glassed that come with hooga. I want to help wrinkles around the eyes but the glasses cover up a good portion. Even with eyes closed this is damaging to eyes?

Does this cause facial fat loss? These masks have levels of energy. Is it bad to turn it up to the highest intensity? I don’t want to lose fat on face.

I am using the Zyocean red and near-infrared light pad to help moderate pain from a number of serious health issues such as metastatic breast cancer, heart failure, an autoimmune disease, and long COVID, just to name a few. I came here by typer Dr Dray infrared, not disappointed 😁😁😁I just got a 2K watt electric infrared radiator. I read infrared heat induces similar changes like the sun. I don't want that ofcourse. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thank you 😊
