oh thanks a lot for creating an account for me. My usual password on boxes is... password 🤣 More seriously I plan going for OSCP but windows is a pain in the neck. I used it for years and it made me go bonkers. Even today when I run it in a VM. It's bloatware and a virus by itself. Tons of apps are as well. There must be a --compile-the-whole-internet option on by default? I'm sure we can get a 100M hello world exe! But what Microsoft taught me is to..............wait while watching that progress bar stuck at 99% because it's doing things I don't want it to do. Not mentioning this Powerhell thing. Hack this ? Roger me senseless with full height drive instead. And I HATE backslashes. One good thing tho it's not case or anything sensitive /rant mode off/

I was a kid fresh from high school straight into college thanks too my parents and i hated IT, loved my computers and working with stuff hated being forced too do it. Then the 2008-2012 crash hit i went back too school too be a welder. And now im back recertifying for IT.

Time is a flat circle 😅, active directories were so importantent back then we had a seperate 6 month AD course got good at it still do it on my home net works. Thanks chuck alot of guys and gals suck at it for some reason :/.

Weirdly enough a laptop i5 dual core and 4gbs of ram can run a virtual kali linux machine okayish not great but it is able to on virtualbox.

While I agree that IT Pros should know Windows, I use Linux more now that I work at Microsoft than I ever did anywhere else.... I just wish I had been learning Linux as a hobby back in college rather than FreeBSD :) (don't get me wrong, FreeBSD is great, just some things don't translate)

I'm a civil engineer, and the only thing I had learned on Windows is how to use KMSpico to install things like AutoCAT or play with Excel. For me, Windows is just that square framework that teaches you how to use the mouse for literally everything. I've been using Linux Debian for over 6 years, and I have explored and learn the whole landscape. I will never go back to that small window. OF COURSE, SOMEONE IS PAYING YOU TO GIVE THAT ADVICE.😆🤣
