I hope one day in a distant future evolution will be able to bring back similar creatures to the ocean.

Viviparous fish fossils have been found. Since it’s such a basal trait I see no reason to believe these crocs weren’t.

Mosasaurs definitely contributed to their extinction either by out competing them or simply killing and eating them as they evolved during the Cretaceous and were responsible for killing off the icthyosaurs.

It must be difficult to be an evolutionary biologist. To have so much intelligence and yet never be able to prove most of your conclusions because you can't witness it actually happening. And having to deal with all the hard scientific evidence in microbiology that tells us that evolution is impossible. For example, we now know that mutations CANNOT create new body plans. I wonder how they can possibly continue to believe in such silly statements?
"Because crocodiles are good swimmers and many species can spend fairly long periods of time in the sea, they are always at a tipping point of becoming marine animals"

I awlays loved crocodiles, one of the most evolutionary perfect animals that's lived for millions upon millions of years , lived with dinosaurs, and now they live with us and when the sun explodes and sends all life flying across space the crocodile will survive.

The rear limbs do not diminish as much as the front limbs. Maybe they hauled themselves onto the beach to lay eggs, using the still powerful hind limbs to dig as sea turtles do.

You can’t assume that all ancient crocodilians were cold blooded when crocodilians have four chambered hearts like mammals and birds and their closest living relatives, birds, are warm blooded. There are plenty of fossils of running and high activity crocodilians. It’s completely possible that the current cold bloodedness is a secondary trait. Hell, there are big fish in the ocean that regulate their temperature to be above the ambient ocean.

Every time I discover a new lineage of extinct animals like the thalattosuchians, it reaffirms my determination to keep learning about paleontology until I know everything about the fascinating history of life on Earth. This of course means I will have to continue learning my whole life, but I don't think that's a problem, I think that's a perk!

Crocodile-like creatures with better swimming capacities would definitely be worse than sharks today and spread terror where we swim. They would attack without hessitiation. Sharks may not always attack but i dont think crocs really choose their prey like them. Crocs in africa attack pretty much anything that moves. Sharks rarely attack humans as prey. Imagine how much worse our oceans would have been to swim at.

The Bible speaks often about suffering, but also about living well in the moment (Matthew 6:34, James 4:14). Even amid pain and suffering, Christians can find joy in the beautiful gift of life.
