You're videos are great, I keep sending them to my high handicap friends-subtle hint, lol. For the first time I'm shallowing the club, creating more ball compression and getting distance (at 50yrs old) that I didn't have when I was bigger and stronger (late 20's to mid 30's). Thanks to your videos the consistency is finally coming around!
ОтветитьClay! I just subscribed to your channel. This morning I took this advice and instruction to the course and I am pleased beyond words. Thank you! The first iron shot I hit went left again and missed the green from 140. I thought I was applying your shoulder tuck tip but obviously didn't get it correct. I dropped a second ball and got it right that time. Not only was I dead on the pin but the shot sailed a bit long meaning I flushed it. A couple of short irons I stuck inside three feet for birdies from outside a 100 yards using the new move. I am pumped to play 18 tomorrow. The only thing I need to guard against is making the move to quickly. Great visuals in this video!
ОтветитьGreat video Clay
ОтветитьAre you related to the great teacher Jimmy Ballard in any way?…. been playing since age 5 and love some of your perspectives… keeping everything connected like Jimmy A+++++
ОтветитьSame, similar or bit different with the driver as we stand further from the ball and arms are more away from the body?
ОтветитьDo you have a golf school?
ОтветитьI like everything about these videos except the end. I feel like I'm getting tricked
ОтветитьHey I just want to give this golf video a like for NOT having a foreign accent for a change 👏🏼😄
ОтветитьThis Tip is awesome - I practiced it for Two Weeks and today I played my best Round of Golf ever a 102 , thank you so much !!!
ОтветитьClay is the best!
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьYour so great at teaching the technical with visual
ОтветитьDo you have a video segment where you show how to make the best use of the left leg in the golf swing I e build the post with the left leg and rotate around it on the follow through.
My left leg seems to be collapsing either before or at impact and it looks like I'm suffering some kind of seizure through this part of the swing.
It's quite embarrassing and I need to fix it. I've hit a few balls where I felt the left leg "post" and got through the ball and could actually feel the centrifugal force at impact and it felt UNBELIEVABLE and the ball compressed and rocketed off the face of the club, only problem is I have no earthly clue how I did it and repeating it, or even "finding" that move everytime is very elusive. The cure is in me, I just don't know how to do it.
Thanks 🙏
Let me guess! It's the "Antiroll technique" and we have to go to your website to learn it. Smh
ОтветитьClay Mallard
ОтветитьI drop my right shoulder and get the club too shallow, then get stuck at the bottom.
ОтветитьSwing the club head.
ОтветитьShallow means level?
ОтветитьClay, i noticed that your lessons seem to be on very short grass in front of a green, I don’t know what type of courses you play on but i think the majority of people don’t end up on the ‘short’ grass in front of the green. Can you show us what you do when tour off the fairway and in the rough??
ОтветитьExcellent tips and drill. Just got back from the range and consistently hit a draw. Was a fairly erratic driver.
ОтветитьBest explanation i have heard!
Ответитьreally really good video thanks!
ОтветитьInteresting video…really strong
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьThis was the best video I’ve ever seen for my game. The arms out rotating drill was a game changer in getting the right shoulder angle. Eliminated my pull shot immediately!
ОтветитьClay...'like the pros are doing'... Ballard
ОтветитьClay, working through the Stable Fluid Spine online and finding that I dip the right shoulder under plane and get “steep/stuck” with my driver when trying to keep stable fluid.
Immediately feeling more control and consistent delivery to impact focusing on this. Hard to keep stable fluid spine without this insight in my opinion.
This is such a big insight…just brilliant.
Awesome video ! However I’ve always wondered WHY a shallow swing path is best ? Has there ever been a scientific experiment that proves this - e.g. if club head speed, club face center contact and all other variables other than swing path and club face were all equal is there in fact a specific combination of those two that result in the ball going the furthest ?
ОтветитьGives purpose to my practice
ОтветитьOmg.....this guy knows man
ОтветитьMark 5:38 and on are the golden nugget for me. I’ve been struggling how to naturally shallow the golf club. I’m a lefty and focused only on what the hands were doing but ignoring the elbows and shoulders. Can’t wait to practice this. One question though. Why is it that I feel like i’m losing swing speed/power/torque moving from casting the club to shallowing the club? I feel being so focused on shallowing that i lose that power
ОтветитьDude me thinks you need to change the sequence of the lessons. Start with how to do it properly,
ОтветитьYeah, right elbow close to body for me was the holy grail of what I was missing through all my other golf movements. I practiced this last Sunday and the turning through the ball was like nothing else I had ever felt before. Clearly there is a period of bedding the drill in and honing the feeling but if you can stick with it you will find you start to TURN through the ball whilst delivering the release rather than anything else...GOOD LUCK EVERYONE IN YOUR JOURNEY.
ОтветитьYou’re the Joel Osteen of golf coaches
ОтветитьYou are my best instructor
ОтветитьBeen hitting the gym, can see a big difference from the beginning video to the video at the end! No wonder you're smoking the ball!
ОтветитьClay, you're the Morgan Freeman of golf. Just keep talking.
ОтветитьThe right shoulder comes over the tip because the club wants to fall behind and the hands go past the natural hidge spot on the downswing. Woth your instruction hit the ball with one arm both left and right Almost impossible. To stop coming over the top you gave to try to pull directly down to the outside of your right foot. It's that simple
Ответитьright shoulder is important, but not nearly as critical as the pinkie toe on the left foot.
ОтветитьI’m a low handicapper and have been struggling off the tee recently. Watched you video and have always subscribed to Hogan’s right elbow move and frankly, until I watched your video and never trusted opening the face. Confirmed on the range and hit 100% fairways the next round! Man, what a more enjoyable game when you’re hitting consistently.
ОтветитьAnyone else sitting in a toilet pretending to swing looking at their right shoulder
ОтветитьThe best instructor I have ever heard! Common language instruction with visual demonstration, can’t beat it!!
ОтветитьThe helicopter drill! Great, thanks.
ОтветитьExcellent well done, this is simple and so true
ОтветитьGood vid if you are a pro, very hard for average player to negotiate or remember one part of a swing
ОтветитьGolf is sooo hard 😖
ОтветитьYou are the best
ОтветитьClay , if the golfer would move their hips correctly none of that would come in to play. That's my experience. What say you?
