A lot of the requirements in job posts especially anything tech related its fluff made up by clueless HR people. An entry level job offering 40k-50k should not and does not require 5+ years experience on top of a degree and multiple certs.

I am totally lost when it comes to where I should start. I’m signed up to start Community College in January for Cyber investigation. Idk if this is a good start or a waste of time. I wish I had a mentor who I could talk things out with.

Also, if I get my Google I.T certificate from Coursera, my question is once I complete the course where should I put it on my résumé should I put it under education or should I put it under training certificates or something?

I’m not sure what I want to be in information technology but I just know that I’m gonna try to change careers from healthcare to the technology industry. I went to a CCNA class a few years ago. I meet this guy that was a instructor and told me to come out and start a new career and he told me i needed no or experience. Mannnn I got to that class and was lost AF. I felt so embarrassed. I could not graps any of it. I stayed for like 3 days and quit. I was so lost and confused. I think for me I need to start at the bottom like A+ cause I didn't know what was going on lol

I decided to try to certify in CompTIA A+ , get a little work experiences, then pass the CCNA. I don't know if it's the case in this field in the US, but retraining at my age is easy, but harder to find a job because of it. I'll do my best to follow your advices. Wish me luck.

I’m transitioning from logistics to It. I have no background knowledge of any kind about It. But I’m slowly learning and I’m studying for the security+ I hope after I get my cert combined with my secret security Clarence will help me find a job.

My dream job is PC desktop assembly entrepreneur. I tried it once, to test out my idea but I ended up losing money. I invested $1,000 worth of PC gaming parts, I built it and programmed it successfully, but it wouldn't sell until I dropped the price. Once I made the sale, a year later, then came the shipping and fees which contributed to my loss. My American dream died that day. Now I'm trying the entrepreneurship idea again, but with health supplements and fitness.
