This has likely been answered, but, they keep the shades closed to keep the plane cool. I don't know if it's because they are so cheap, or it's because of the planes themselves, the airlines do not run A/C when the plane is on the tarmac.

JFK to Las Vegas: 5 hours and 9 minutes. In the early 1970s, this was always 4 hours and 20 minutes.

I very much appreciate your reviews, Will. Well done. I travel often from Boston to San Francisco (well not during Covid) and safely due to Covid. I had used United for many years and have 500k miles with that awful airline because they have more flights and I needed flexibility but the last flight took the cake. Actually the flight attendant in business dumped cake in my hair by accident and then somehow tangled things in the velcro separating cabins. Anyway, this is about JetBlue. I loved Mint but different plans are flown from Boston to San Francisco. I was sad to see the beautiful suite you got. I am satisfied with the very expensive seat I did get ($2500) because of Covid. In rows 2 and 4, there is no one in front of you and no one to the side. So only one seat on each side. I can't recall the plane. Service was stupendous and flight attendants wonderful. The food was excellent. The basic cost of ingredients was low but very well prepared. For example: quinoa pancakes with peaches. The price was extremely high and I would not do it again. However because of all my United Flights, I may investigate using the points on the OneWorld Alliance. I have been promising a friend a visit in Dubai. You have me tempted. Thank you so much. Keep traveling and keep writing. You have a friend in Boston!

I love that people can sleep on plains. I'm a nervous as hell flyer, and it seems so far away from my reality that I could ever sleep. And people are just like heh gnight! zzzz

I guess America has a lot of sun compared to most countries bc I’ve always been told American Airlines close the windows while on the ground is because it gets WAY too hot if they get left open. At least where I am whenever I land the flight attendants always announce “As you are leaving we ask you please shut your window shades again as the planes get very hot when they stay open”

It’s getting on, and I’m not even sure it’s still flying, but the ex-BMI, BA A321s that do the Middle East have a similar config, with 2-1 lie flat seat. Really nice business class.

Why do you have First Class in your title and not business class? For the clicks or was it just so nice you put it in First Class category?

I keep begging JetBlue to add Mint service to/from DFW. No luck so far, and I get it, they only fly to BOS and JFK from DFW....not enough traffic to justify it.
One of these trips back home...I'm going to circle the US, AUS to SFO to BOS to DFW. Haha. Just to try the Mint service from SFO to BOS. Looks wonderful!

Looks like a great deal if you can find it. Prices are generally 50-100% higher than other US carriers for a round trip business class seat coast to coast. Best price I could find for that exact same flight from either EWR or JFK is 627 pounds ($849) one way. You are paying for that room and service. If you don't mind paying that, then this service is for you. On other US carriers you can find a round trip business class ticket for the price of a one-way JetBlue Mint if you are flexible.

Can wait to Jetblu have a plane like a 350,330,or a 787. But for that initiation, a 330neo would be the best or a 350. Jetblue could do it very good :)

JetBlue's Mint (first class) is actually epic! It's like a downgraded emirates first class! very awesome!

You ask the question about US flights asking you to close the windows. This is done to keep the cabin cool while on the tarmac. If you've ever flown into a desert city in the US, this is extremely important for comfort and efficiency.

RE NYC-LON. used to do this regularly with the BA001/2 LCY. always great going to NYC but the small A318 used to suffer from some serious turbulence going east to west suspect that will be another "entertaining aspect" of JetBlue -tho can't wait to try it

I used to fly JetBlue at least 15 times a year from DC to Miami and always flew first and loved it. Just as good as it is in the video

I love your videos. Can you please figure out how to regulate the audio level so I'm not having to constantly adjust the volume between I can't hear you to my heart drums being blown out. Just one gripe. Keep up the good work otherwise.
