Folks, Why would you look at buying new during this insanity? Every car I have purchased over the last 20 years has been with cash. Now they punish you for not going into debt to acquire one of their depreciating liabilities. They make all their money off of the back end financing. If you can not afford to pay cash, then keep what you already own! If it runs fine then keep it until you can invest in something that creates value to your household. Sorry for the rant, but cars are not an asset, but a liability instead...
ОтветитьQuestion for you, I have a lease that will get evaluated once we know when my ordered vehicle will arrive, maybe a month before it arrives. If I’m satisfied with the amount, can I decide to buyout my lease and then give it as a trade and take advantage of the equity and tax reduction a trade gives you instead of straight equity? I might be missing something that’s why I thought I would ask the question. Thanks for your help.
ОтветитьI've been looking for Subaru Forester and Mazda CX5 and here in LA County and other areas in CA refuse to budge below MSRP or even AT MSRP and on a lease, all these fees they refuse to come down on, cost as much as a luxury vehicle!!! I'd rather spend the money to FIX my 19 year old car!!
ОтветитьI found a used, nearly new 2021 Lexus that is still high in comparison to pre-pandemic prices, but nearly $4k below current market price. Less than 5k miles. Do you think I could negotiate it lower or is the current price probably as good as it’s gonna get these days? It’s been on the lot for over 3 months.
ОтветитьI recently had my brand new car (5 months from date of delivery) written-off. Now everywhere I see is a big waiting queue for any car in any make and model. Unfortunately, I'm stuck and no dealer would provide me any discounted offers. What a bad situation to be in !
ОтветитьI have definitely noticed that the prices for new cars are about the same as used. Also the dealership I am working with are requiring deposits to secure the vehicle. They can’t even keep new cars on their lot. They also said most of their cars are called for prior to even getting unloaded to dealership.
ОтветитьBut hasn't the manufacturers told the dealerships not to raise the MSRP? I know Ford has done that and many others...the only reason they are raising the MSRP is to make more money in profits to cancel out the shortage of cars. I told one dealer, I'm not buying the car unless your give me the car for the original msrp value and he wouldn't so I'm not buying a car.
ОтветитьWent to a Hyundai dealership trying to buy a new fully loaded GV80, but they wanted nearly $6,000 over MSRP. $80,000 for Genesis was just too rich. I’m going to look at a Mercedes GLE or Lexus RX instead.
ОтветитьWhere can I lease a car with you? Haha!
ОтветитьI should have bought in 2018. now.. I think I should wait for a couple more years. So, I am trying to keep my existing car in working condition.
ОтветитьProblem is no one knows how long the new car will come! I'm wating on a toyota corolla cross xle since Feb 21
Ответитьvid starts 2 min in...fyi
ОтветитьI'm curious about the "misc. fees" on that bill.
ОтветитьI wish he would've elaborated on what the mandatory fees are or aren't instead of "things like that" he was being vague. If other car videos covered this topic still would've been convenient and helpful to say it again here. Important information is never redundant.
ОтветитьThere are no negotiations this dude is putting false information out there.
ОтветитьMan what are you smoking! No dealership is selling under MSRP right now!
ОтветитьWhat’s an estimate of how long until it’s a better time to wait?? Should’ve included that in the video
ОтветитьThank you so much for the info
ОтветитьWhat if you have a old trade I car? Like an 06 old? Do they take those ages?👀😂
ОтветитьDont buy a car in 2022 ... year end everything blows up and all this nonsense is nothing compared to the carnage coming. All the leverage people are fish in a barrel.
ОтветитьI think that market adjustment is necessary in a market like this . Many of these dealerships are designed to sell hundreds of cars per month and now they only are getting a few in per month . I agree maybe you can negotiate a small percentage off the markup or market adjustment; however markup is necessary. Similar to what’s going on with the housing market . Here in Florida you have to offer above asking price to even have a chance to buy a home . Also in regards to the trade ins . He makes a point of getting the most money for your trade. I completely agree ; however , you cannot expect a dealership to give you trade value based on the inflated market at the moment , and then also expect not to pay the price of the new market value on the new car . Buying a new car right now is very difficult and not recommended . It is not the consumers fault it’s just the way the market has changed .
ОтветитьYou aren’t going to get a great deal, you can simply reduce the amount how badly you will get screwed.
ОтветитьFlexible ie be willing to buy something you really don’t want. If you buy more popular models not much negotiating on price. Pick less popular models…gas guzzling sedans and sports cars. Great advice.
ОтветитьSaw the first 2 mins and absolutely zero content. Why not summarize what you want to say!
ОтветитьHow do I become a client of yours when purchasing a new car?
Ответить8%is not even worth the hassle. I’m trying to get like 30% off
ОтветитьCustomers watch a couple videos and come in with a huge chip on their shoulder. They ask silly questions that make no sense. They don’t know why they are asking these questions. Some guy on a video said they should. They want to see the invoice. I show it to them. It’s clear that they have no idea why they are looking at it. They hand it back dumb founded. They lie about their trade, they lie about if they have a payoff. They say stupid things like, “My car is in excellent condition” It’s not not. I caught a guy in a lie when he said the store up the street gave him 3k more. I picked up the phone and called that store’s appraiser in front of him. We owned that store also. And no they never appraised that car. (WOW that was awkward for him). Most of you have no idea what you are doing even after watching videos. We know all the tactics and “tricks”. We see them everyday. So when you think you are clever just remember. You are not. We help you get out of your own way so you can buy the car or truck you want. It is really nice when we get a truly educated customer who is truthful. It seems to always go well for them. Here is my advice for customers
1. Don’t lie
2. Treat your sales person the way you wish to be treated
3. Figure out what you want to buy before you step on the lot.
4. Brush up on your math. You cannot buy a $50,000 truck with a $1000 down and pay $350 a month.
Thanks. I've found the need to contact many, not a few dealers. Also, getting a firm quote, either written, or at least in email, is currently difficult, and requires multiple requests (as if they are deaf). After a dozen contacts, there does not appear to be any dealers which operate transparently.
ОтветитьHello thank you so much for all clear and helpful information.. I have to get the car for my daughter.I’m so stress out . I’m nit sure what is the best to do with budget that I have .
ОтветитьHere is my negotiating with a customer…This is the price……
$300 deposit …..
See you in 10 weeks
I’m interested in your services.
ОтветитьWe save the money and pay cash for the vehicles we buy.
ОтветитьBend over... lube not included.
ОтветитьDealerships are only hurting their already bad reputations and intelligent car buyers are realizing this more and more everyday.. Eventually car manufactures will sell directly to the public because of the greedy price gouging technics car dealerships are currently using right now!
ОтветитьSeriously, have you worked at a dealership as a Business Manager? Don't hate. There are repercussions if you fail to offer a buyer products (by the state and local governments).
Let's say you fail to offer GAP coverage. The customer totals his car and is in a negative equity position. The customer blurts out that the dealer didn't offer GAP. I work for a dealership and you seem to give all dealerships a bad name. Shame on people like you coaching consumers in how to purchase a vehicle. I have never had a BUSINESS MANAGER (no longer Finance Mangers) pre-print a legal and binding document with all sorts of incrementals. FULL DISCLOSURE within our Auto group. Everything is explained in full with no pressure. If the customer refuses the product it doesn't go on the contract. You need to be explicit in where this is happening and don't assume all BUSINESS MANAGERS play games. We have been accused by customers that we failed to offer an extended warranty when they blow an engine or transmission and are stuck with a huge repair bill. I work at a dealership in Customer Service and Finance Audit. I would like to believe that all customers are honest, but sometime they just aren't. Do you write and record articles of this nature about lawyers? I would bet your presentations are rehearsed. Have a nice day, homework guy.
The market nationwide is pay Full Sticker or don't buy the car. With the shortage, another customer will buy the car that you don't buy today. I wouldn't pay for Adjusted Market Value which seems to be a standard with the foreign car dealers. If you did your homework, you would know that pre-owned vehicles cost more than a new car.
ОтветитьPlease are u in Canada Ontario, a new immigrant don’t know hw to get a new car, need ur help
ОтветитьI was asked for $10K markup price over MSRP in a kia dealership in california
ОтветитьI ordered a Maverick Lariat Hybrid from Honolulu Ford in August 2021. It finally arrived in June 2022. The MSRP was $33000. Well the greedy scumbag dealer decided they needed to make some more money and told me the price was $52000 !!! They even wanted me to pay $5000 for an extended warranty ! I refused and countered with $36000. They ignored me and sold my car to someone else !!! THe order was placed by me and confirmed by Ford. This dealer cannot order cars, they have to be ordered by the buyer. But they can steal cars once the arrive. Or so they may think. Whats my recourse ?
ОтветитьDo you a Kia sorrento 2017 with 50,000 miles is a good purchase the car is 19 something thousand
ОтветитьThank you for all the information. This is extremely helpful
ОтветитьThanks for the great tips! Your video is professional and concise. You get right to the point! We’re getting ready to buy a new 2023 Sonata N Line.
ОтветитьSir how about getting a unit from other province what can u say about this? Thank you
ОтветитьI have a 2019 Audi Q5 lease ending in Jan. Can I just offer to turn it end and negotiate the equity so I can use it to lease a cheaper car someplace else? How can I leaverage this I have 32K in miles on the car. I will need a car and may just lease a less expensive new something until what’s going on passes with the car situation. I’m still looking.
ОтветитьHow can I contact you?
ОтветитьHello, When do you estimate the cost of new and used cars to come down to proper levels?
ОтветитьThe Highlander from your video isn't a high demand car compared to others. I'm looking for a Rav4 Prime and they simply cannot be found for at least a minimum of $4K over MSRP. I've reached out to dealerships as far as 120 miles from me and the markups range from $4K to $16K. No negotiating. One dealer was taking preorders at MSRP but had to stop because they ended up with a waiting list of over 1,000 people and an estimated wait time of over two years. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьHi.planning to buy a brand new car but model year 2018. Is it a smart move? Dealer is offering 25% discount
