A search and rescue operation is under way in northern Turkey after 27 people were killed in flash flooding.

More than 1,700 residents have been evacuated from their homes and as many as 330 villages are without power.

The flooding in the Black Sea region is the second natural disaster to strike Turkey this month after wildfires engulfed coastal regions in the south.
