Who can imagine a guy who collects movies in a period where archiving cinema is considered insignificant?
People who watched Celluloid Man, the documentary about P.K. Nair directed by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur won’t be wondering the existence of such a personality.
P. K. Nair is the phantom of Indian cinema who cultivated its future by preserving its past. Only nine among the 1,700 films made in India during the silent era managed to survive. And all of the film enthusiasts in India are grateful to P.K. Nair for his contribution in archiving those films for future generations.
