If Ed's not a real Mechanic what does that make Brewer,Same thing with Gas monkey Garage,Aron had enough of carrying the show while Rawlings got rich off his back?Edd got 75% of screen time while Brewer done his same old storey about buying a car,that's why he's bitter because Edd called him out on his Bullshit.

Edd wasn't just a mechanic, he was and is a magician. A hugely talented individual and I loved watching him on this show 🙂

Honestly, Mike is just a mouthpiece - and that’s not an insult, but he’s just a character. Ed was the ‘body’ of the program - and now he’s left, Ant is the ‘body’.
So here’s my take on this - Wheeler Dealers with Ed & Ant would be fantastic! If Mike isn’t part of that, no big deal - just get another mouthpiece.

You can't blame a man for getting arsey considering the amount of abuse he gets on a daily basis online and in his face, actual threats of violence from sad Edd devotees, just because someone left a show who was great but was getting a bit big headed. Most don't know what actually happened but 99% take Edd's side because he's the special one who cannot do any wrong. I like the guy but mikes not the bad person everyones making out.

I thought they made a great team, but I really enjoyed Edd explaining each detail and taking the time to educate us. Mike was also great going about looking and buying the vehicles, and then selling them on.

Mike just an average filthy rich prat, no talent car salesman. That’s the issue with him. As for Ed, well he doesn’t seem to be able to stick at anything for long. Don’t watch WD, just like Top Gear. Ruined.

Remember Ed has an engineering degree, has world records under his belt and Im sure thought by season 10 or 11, he was better than pulling engines out of old bangers.

Do you think Clarkson, Hammond or May ever actually turned a spanner on TopGear, do you think they EVER did a shred of work on any of those challenges? Of course not. Ed, maybe rightly believed, after 13 years and phenomenal success of the show, he should've been able to just present to camera and hire some guys to do the actual heavy lifting.

The other major issue Im certain Ed had was money. Mike is the main man. Wheeler Dealers is his baby. He is the guy who deals with the tv companies etc. Ed was no doubt working for a salary, a generous salary but a salary nonetheless. He saw himself as equal to Mike and a major contributing factor to the show's success but he was never going to have the lavish wealth that other big name car show people have, again see May and Hammond etc.

At the time, I was sad to see this but years later I think it was for the best. Mike did gel better with Ant and Elvis and the show has actually improved. Ed made a spurious claim at the time that it was being dumbed down and the tv execs didnt want him educating viewers about engineering and mechanics. Ant and Elvis have dispelled that myth.

I've watched many episodes with Edd, as well as some of the new ones with Ant in.
My opinion of Mike has stayed the same since the start, and seems to coincide with others' opinions too. I feel like the show has grown vastly thoroughout the episodes, so to say that one has changed I would have thought be understandable.

I am definitely more of a "the originals are always the best" sort of person, but honestly, Ant breathes new life on the show, not only with his enthusiasm, but his knowledge and abilities. I'm jealous; I wish I had the skills and experience...
