any videos on affordable wearable pumps?
ОтветитьDoes this work for someone who needs a larger flange than the typical size supplied. I needed a 27mm with my first baby and am pregnant with me second.
ОтветитьTried to join you fb page but apparently I have to take a class 🤷🏼♀️
ОтветитьThank you for including the sound ! I want to breast pump while I’m at work but don’t want to sound like I’m on life support . All the other videos do not show us the sound . Thanks 😊
ОтветитьThis was really helpful!! Thank you
ОтветитьFor me, the willow is better. It’s a bit more expensive but being able to be in any position is important. I really need this pump bc I’m a flight attendant, and I want to be able to pump discreetly while working. I plan on also having a pump at home. This would be my pump exclusively for work.
ОтветитьDO NOT BUY ELVIE PUMP. completely trash. six months of use and is broken, and customer services sucks....
Ответить-I really appreciate your review. I had the Willow 3 for exclusive pumping in 2020 (my baby was in Nicu and refused to BF from me once she realized she didn't have to work for it from a bottle, lol). I had a Medela Symphony that I would use too. The Willow was great for work but because of constant suction, I think I just got to the point I was tired of it and uncomfortable. I also had issues with reusable containers after 2 months not working and the company sent me tips, those didn't help, I bought new containers and it would eventually not read that I was pumping and not get out of stimulation mode. Given my nips are elastic and stretched very easily, I may try the Elvie this time and hope for the best given its more natural suction. I feel the constant suck on the Willow really didn't help with my let down and I was never fully emptied which I desperately needed to avoid mastitis which I had twice. I liked that the Willow had the bag option too but it got pricey after awhile. Thank you again for the review!
ОтветитьMy Elvie leaks a lot. It dosnt stop when it should, and if I move a certain way the container on the bottom seems to bend a little and it leaks. I just ordered the Willow so hopefully it works better for me. I have three kids, two in sports and other activities. I need something reliable, something I can pop in and use on the way to the next obligation, without worrying my short is going to get wet.
ОтветитьHi! Jut to clarify - both are ok to use overseas? I will be living in Portugal so would need to be compatible. Thanks!
ОтветитьI am looking for some guidance. I make about 24-28 oz a day, I am 4 mpp and I pump for about 30-45 mins (except MOTN pump at 60 mins) I used the Medella pump in style and I notice milk does not start flowing really well until I get passed stimulation mode and into expression mode. I really want the Willow so I can be more Mobil for work and baby, but the fact that it doesn't leave expression mode till a certain mark makes me nervous. Do you think I could still get the Willow and not have an issue? or do you suggest Elvie in this case? Please someone help I am stuck
:(
A year later and this video is still helping in helping me decide between these two great pumps
ОтветитьThe willow also has a lot of issues and an “adjustment period” I wish you would have mentioned that. Also, wish I would’ve found you sooner. Do you have a video for your number one wearable recommendation? I have a willow and hate it. Looking for another but want to do allllll my research.
ОтветитьHow is the consistency with suction for the willow? My main issue with the Elvie was the inconsistent suction. One session they’d work great the next session one pump wouldn’t have the best suction even when pulling all the parts off and refitting everything making sure everything was tight. I’d replace duckbills and valves and still have issues. Some days my bras would be fine others I’d have to wear the tightest bra I owned to make it have consistent suction. The pumps never seemed to offer the same amount of suction even when pumping at the same speed/power level. This time around I’m leaning towards the willow but I’m starting to wonder if this is just a flaw with wearable breast pumps.
ОтветитьI bought the willow(2.0 used) I read that the 3.0 is better especially if you have low milk supply. I exclusively pumped with my daughter and I tried so hard for her to latch but I didn’t have the right tools or help.. I am now expecting my son (15 months later) and was curious on your opinion should I invest in the willow 3.0. I definitely had low milk supply and went through a lot of obstacles and I would love for this new journey be a little easier. Thanks for all your advice!!
ОтветитьI have both the elvie and the willow 3rd gen as well. I had issues with leaking with the elvie so the willow wins on that point for me since I was pumping at work. Also the suction on the willow feels a lot stronger at every level. seems like I get more stimulation and think it will better maintain my milk supply when I go back to work this time. Willow also has flange inserts if your nipple size is smaller than their 2 standard flange sizes. The only down sides to the willow for me is that it is more complicated to use and is louder but worth it for me due to increased mobility w/o leaks and better suction. The direct pump bags are super convenient as well.
ОтветитьI loveeeee your reviews! - super neutral and practical on the comparison!
ОтветитьMissed one difference- the oz of milk that each holds. Willow holds 5, Elvie holds 4.
ОтветитьMy Elvie tends to leak. I’ve tried diff flanges and the beaugen cushions. Personally I find the Elvie is overrated. Agree with your review, with the Elvie you have to be pretty still. Mobility is so crucial. Should have watched your review before buying the Elvie. Their customer service is not that great either.
ОтветитьI’m a FTM and thank you for the honest review. I love both of them so deciding is going to be hard.😅
ОтветитьAny suggestions on which pump to choose for elastic nipples?
ОтветитьWould LOVE to see the elvie stride also in this comparison
ОтветитьCan you make a video about the Elvie Stride?.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьI haven't found any reviews that include the transition of pump to bottle... Can the bags for willow transition straight into a bottle system like kiinde? Or do we have to pour it into a separate bottle for feeding time?
ОтветитьThis is such a good overview! Would it be appropriate to purchase only the Elvie or Willow for pumping? I've heard some moms get less milk from these compared to non-portable pumps. But I guess if a mom only bought, say, the Elvie, she wouldn't know the difference.
ОтветитьThis video is everything!!! Super helpful and to the point. THANK YOU!
ОтветитьYou do really great and smart reviews! Thank you!
ОтветитьThanks for the info! Now I have to make my decision…
ОтветитьThe willow on suction sounds like a printer lol
ОтветитьI love how you just give information instead of choosing which one is the “best”. You let us decide which one most best fits our lifestyle. I’m still indecisive with which one I want to go for but thank you for this information! It has helped a lot ☺️
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this has helped me in deciding which pump I wanted to get.
ОтветитьIdk if it was included in the video but how many ounces do each of them hold?
ОтветитьSuper helpful! Thanks so much
ОтветитьI went with a willow. Thanks for helping me decide.
ОтветитьI really didn’t like the willow-no matter how much I sized it, i had no output and there was so much pain!
ОтветитьSO HELPFUL! SERIOUSLY!
ОтветитьI love this comparison video thank you!
ОтветитьI went with the willow. Unfortunately I regret it and wish I went with elvie.
Cons: super bulky- not possible to pump in public for me. I look ridiculous and the light Also shines through the shirt .
- expensive, the containers extra $60
The bags haven’t used because the willow is glitchy. Says I pump 4 oz when I only pumped 2 on one breast. Totally off and totally waste of a bag
- oz counting is useless in the app , totally useless. It’s so far off
-DISCOMFORT.,suction is so strangely painful , yet my right breast pumps nothing out . It ruins my nipples and swells mine up so badly.
- only 1 flange size. Elvie comes with multiple. I regret it
Updates:
For $600 , You get a really inconvenient inefficient pump .
I hate it the longer I have it . It’s been a total of THREE WEEKS. The only benefit it encouraged me to breastfeed more
I couldn't stop laughing at the sound the willo made, sounds like my father's 80's printer
🤣🤣
Will it work on bigger boobs? Like 32F?
ОтветитьHow many oz does each pump hold?
ОтветитьI’m glad you did this. Idk if you’re the rest of this channel is my type of content, but I’m subscribing and gonna binge your videos because I love your voice. It’s so soothing. 💕
ОтветитьI had the elvie, would never buy again. Just came to see about the willow! Considering if it's just as the same
ОтветитьGreat review.
ОтветитьThanks for this comparison! A bit long at the start but very informative video :) :)
ОтветитьMaybe I was using it wrong but in my experience this pump is not for those with inverted nipples it will tear you up. I have the 2.0 so maybe the 3.0 is better
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! So helpful. Im expecting my 4th baby and have exclusively pumped for all 3 of my babies and plan to do the same for my 4th. Im so excited to have some freedom!! I feel like the investment would be sooo worth it. I think I will add myself to your fb group too. Im sure I will watch this video a lot before my 4th baby comes! :)
ОтветитьHa. Willow is currently offering 100 dollars off for healthcare workers and first responders but with all the extra parts you have to buy separately, you'll be spending 500 dollars still 🙄
ОтветитьWhat about MomCozy and Youha wearable breast pumps?
Ответить
