@unchaineddrag8n Awesome. I'm making the web page for this vid right now. I know rewinding and pausing can be a pain. Thanks for my first comment. 8-)
Ответитьam i the only one who thought of scrubs when i heard "dorian"? either way thanks for the video lesson! =D
Ответить@soratms71 That's cool. When I hear the Aeolian mode I think of inspector gadget. 8-) Really those first 5 notes must be spot on.
Ответитьmmm what is the purpose of that I haven't heard that before ? I don't think that I have to learn them !
Ответить@realjuvelive No, you could easily get away with not learning the modes. It's a way of being able to play the same scale at different locations on the guitar. That's the greatest advantage for me. I like to solo in the Ionian Lydian and Mixolydian modes. All the modes I've shown have the same 7 notes. But when you play those same 7 notes at different locations on the guitar you can discover some inspiring fingering patterns. But yeah it's not something you HAVE to know to write a song.
ОтветитьOverall you mean they are for practicing solo riff or something like that right ? what should I know to right a song then ?
Ответить@realjuvelive I think at a minimum you could write songs just by knowing some chord progressions. For instance you could write a song with a chord progression like C major F major G major then F major. But if you knew what chords were in a major key you'd have more understanding and it would be easier for you to write. I will make a lesson on the Chords that are in a major key. For instance C major has C Dmin (min means minor) Emin F G Amin. These chords are a good starting point
ОтветитьThanks for this video. It's a very interesting video. I do an exercise like this every day but with this lessons I am sure I will improve my speedy on the guitar.
Ответитьyou are awesome man! really helpful but one question. how important would it be for me to know this if i am learning finger style without a teacher?
Ответить@fogertyfans Cool, thanks for checking it out.
Ответить@trishaj73240 This stuff is more for people who are ready to write their own stuff or who are looking for some more understanding. You may want to come back to this at a later date. 8-)
Ответить@SuperDC45 Sweet, I'm glad to hear it. 8-)
Ответитьdude, idk why you don't have a shit tone of views. your videos are amazing and extremly helpful for all skill levels. i just finished learning your tabed fur elise (advanced one) and it impressed me how quick i picked it up. im giving all of my music buddies a shout to check out your videos! have a band you're in that i can check out ?
Ответить@jwalsh8 I like this way of playing 3 notes per string. You could play the same scale with the exact same notes many different ways.
Ответить@NewJerseyTony Thank you for the kind words. It seems like most guitar players are into learning other peoples songs. I think that's why this video gets fewer views than my tab videos. This video is more for intermediate players you might say.
ОтветитьI really appreciate your great lessons. I am a little below the intermediate but I'm learning and having fun doing it!
Ответитьno dis likes tis a great video btw
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I haven't learned much theory. This helps a lot. Thanks again.
ОтветитьYou're a God.
Ответитьu should get a job as a guitar teacher
ОтветитьThank you so much for the first clear explanation of 'what a mode is' that I have ever seen. Very much appreciated. Now I feel like I have learning difficulties because it took so long for the penny to drop, but thanks anyway :)
ОтветитьCan I respectfully disagree? I've spent years playing on blues scales to the exclusion of all else, and now it's really hard to get my fingers and brain to accept this, I'm having to practice a lot more than I should have to, and this is basic stuff. Just another perspective.
ОтветитьRockin out with my homies lol, you're awesome dude. Great vid (b'-')b
ОтветитьHow do you create your videos?
Ответитьwell i like to use mixolydian mode when i rock out with my homies
Ответитьso glad i found this video..thank you:)
Ответитьthank u so much, this helps me alot :)
ОтветитьDo you move the modes like the Pentatonic Boxes? or are they solid set in stone? like C is always Ionian and D is always Dorian? and so on?
Ответитьyou will have everlasting life !!!!
