The ending was great.😅
ОтветитьBeautiful Gretchen Young!
ОтветитьSo-called "Edward G. Robinson" was not even his real name. Obviously. Emanuel Goldenberg sold-out his birth moniker in the name of 'Hollywood' shallowness & deceit?! In other words, from pressure of a greedy Agent(s) and or Studio(s), with preconceived notions of greater recognition & better financial gain?! The worst part is the disrespect of parents and family heritage.
ОтветитьThanks for posting, really good film with peerless performances from EGR and OW. Sole gripe: the subtitles do noit match what the voices are saying
Ответитьsubtitles are wrong
ОтветитьThe English captions don't match the spoken words... What a shame.
ОтветитьWow things have changed. A complete stranger comes barging into your home without being invited and it no big deal!

ОтветитьI could watch Eddie G sit and puff that pipe all day.
ОтветитьI wonder if Edward Robinson found it difficult to play this role as a Jew?
ОтветитьNot all black and white films 50 years or older are Film-Noir. THIS is Film-Noir. Note contrast with light and shadows. Brilliant!
ОтветитьIn the telephone scenes, when they needed an operator, no way could it be anywhere close to a secure line
