Introducing the Bose L1 Pro16 Portable Line Array System

Can I control the volume, eq and reverb knobs by just turning them with my hand or do I have to do it through a phone app?

If I connect to the app, is it limited to 3 channels only if a Bose T4S mixer is also connected? Can the T4S work with the app?

I own Two l1 M2 plus two S1 speakers, love them all, at this moment I’d like to add one piece to it so I have more power for larger rooms, or the option for having an extra piece for cocktail hour, I’m deciding between the The F1 Sub and the 812 combined or the L1 Pro16 the fact the L1 are 180 coverage Im kind of thinking that is harder to manage mic feedback in smaller rooms which is what happens when I’m hired for smaller family reunions, so I’m leaning more on the F1 system, in the other hand I like the L1 pro 16 for having the latest tech and I’ve also heard great comments about it.

I need some help here. New at this. I am using 3 Sure SM58 mics, Yamaha powered mixer, 2 passive speakers and Laptop for Karaoke shows. I would like to switch to wireless mics and ditch my super heavy Yamaha speaker in favor of this Bose L1 Pro 16 but I’m not sure how to hook wireless mics with this system. I can’t see buying the tonematch mixer as that would be overkill for what I need. Thoughts please

I gave this idea to Bose years ago they had no idea. They have yet to acknowledge and give me credit. I'm sure they record those countless calls and time spent trying to convince them

Purchased two BOSE L1 Pro 16 units. The instructions state it must be updated before it is used. Why it doesn't come updated from the factory is beyond me. The first one updated just fine. The second unit failed to connect. Hours upon hours of trouble shooting, I called BOSE support and they advised me to take it back. Took it back to Guitar Center and came home with a replacement. BOOM! Nothing. Same issue as the last one. Called BOSE support again and they said they would get back to me "within a few days." Took that one back today and received yet a third replacement. This one also fails to update but on top of that, the lighting on the mixer is sketchy and appears to have got past QA. When I return this one, it will be my 4th unit. I am 1/2 tempted to just return both and be done with it. When you shell out this kind of coin for an item, it should work right out the box, no questions asked. What a disappointment.

When can we get a the F2 system!

Wish Bose would address the hiss issue that many of L1pro owners are experiencing…..

I just bought the L1 Pro8. It's either too tall or too short. I would REALLY like to have the short array extender that the Pro16 has. Why aren't they sold as an option?

Can I connect 2 together? I just bought one but want to know if they can sync up together?

Love the sound of this thing. I demoed it the Guitar Center in Winter Park FL for about an hour and the mid-range is so much better than my first experience with the older L1. The only caveat is the wobble at the base. For $1800 it shouldn't have this problem. I'm holding off for now until V2 comes out. There was an EV 30M there and loved the sound as well, solidly built with 4 more channels and so many other features but it didn't have the mid range sound of the L1 16.

Bose never mentions using backing tracks (a whole backing track mix minus guitar and vocal) that i know of. The system is a mono system and their is great confusion on whether you can use mp3 backing tracks that are stereo. Does the array system convert a stereo signal into mono? And can you hear all the instruments on the backing track or dj track? I've searched google high and low and Bose website and found nothing. My experience has been that people in bars etc. do not greatly enjoy just one person or 2 or 5 without having a full band mix. And with so many flaky unreliable people out there it makes sense to use backing tracks. Why? You don't have to pay them and they never mess up cause yes it's a backing track. Anyone have any answers to these questions?

I enjoy the L1 pro 16 great sound really nice and loud but my seems to have a big pitch sound that make it really uncomfortable i wonder if its like that or did it got damaged on the delivery part of it! Im deeply depressed now i have to return it even tho i don’t want too 😭 it sounds so nice!!!

Just wondering, I used to have a pair of bose 901 series v, with a Denon 220 w power amp, and pre amp, best sounding, and largest sound stage I've ever heard, every where you stood was a sweet spot. I ran my Roland D50 keyboard and my cd's through it, would 2 of the pro 16's give that huge soundstage of the 901's how would they compare, as 901's are no longer available, and will be for in my home use only

I upgraded from 2-l1 compact and am very pleased. I'm able to play my bass guitar and it handles my vdrums too! Love the bluetooth and app. Sub is excellent! Downfalls: 1) build quality on the array tower is really loose and am sure will cause an issue especially around children at events, 2) not happy at all about the app needing location to operate. Took me 3 days to figure that out, ugh.

I told Bose years ago many many times to do this when the Bose compact first came out, but it fell on deaf ears .JBL and others quickly jumped on my idea added bluetooth and took lots of the business . Sometimes these people that sit in their offices and may do gigs here and there should listen to artists that really use the products.

Been thinking for years that round speakers are a waste of space. Finally!

Is this comparable with the l1 model 2 with b2 bass? If you compare how loud it can play and how big audience it is?

Same low end driver than in the sub2?

well Craig from Bose, as someone who in a typical year does 125 gigs all around the midwest with his L1 Compact and the occasionally large gig with the L1 classic for the last 12-14 years or so with these, I'm VERY interested. Can't wait to hear these IRL.

how do you expand the system to have more inputs for a 7 piece band?

If I plug in a Tenomatch mixer into the Tonematch input, is there a seperate volume control for this input, or does it use one of the 3 channels there already ? Thanks
