10 Things To Know Before Buying The 2023 Genesis GV80

Before you buy one (I have a new 2023 GV80) make sure you are close to a certified Genesis Dealer. I am not and its now a big problem. Before I purchased the car knowing there was no local delaer, I checked with the Genesis customer care, and I made sure the local Hyundai dealer was certified to work on it, but as it turns out they cannot perform any required warranty work, that has to be done by a Genesis dealer. I was told (before I purchased) that warranty work could be accomplished under a reimbursement plan, where I would have to cover the initial cost for work at the Hyundai dealer, and then get a refund from Genesis, now they say NO WAY. They recently told me they "may" be willing to help to relocate my car to a Genesis dealer for a warranty repair (that's.....350 miles from here). If I were you I would stay away from a purchase of this vehicle if you are not close to an Official Genesis dealer.......

I bought a GV80 Prestige two years ago. It just got killed by a drunk driver. My wife and I were ok, all that safety gear worked perfectly. I didn’t even get a bruise and both cars were a complete write off. My wife got some road rash from the centre airbag. Thank god for new car insurance. I have new order for the same car. Zero problems, great customer service. A, buying again.
