GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition's New Patch: What Changed?

I still hate the fact that the GTA Trilogy Remaster looks more like a cartoon and not a realistic game like before

I feel like rockstar should have hired nightdive studios to make the gta trilogy remaster since nightdive had a great reputation of remasters to keep classic gaming alive such as blood,turok,quake 1 and 2,doom64,doom 1+2 collection and other great classic games. Grove street games may destroyed their reputation after disaster definitive edition in 2021 but regardless i do feel bad for entire grove street staff being bullied and harassment on social media over a video game and it’s not their fault i mostly blame on take 2 and rockstar being cheap bastards and they are the ones who hired this team in the first place and refusing hiring professional modding community actually fixing old games for them for free without getting paid to keep classics alive and gets lawsuit by take 2 over fixing old games ridiculous

Tbh the mobile ports are actually FINE. But TakeTwo gave them too little time and too much to do. Taking the Groce Street Games name off IS a dick move, because they did ghe best with what little they were given. I don't think GSG is a bad studio, I think they're a small studio being taken advantage of, given an overwhelmingly impossible amount of work, and then thrown under the bus while most fans forget that this wasn't GSG's fault. As usual, a bad product once again is because of poor upper management and corporate greed.

when a game comes out unfinished the devs are blamed while the publisher is in the shadows. Grove Street was severely understaffed and gave a ridicules time window to complete the task of remastering 3 free roam sandbox games. It was Rockstar who decided to release it. Devs never want to release a shitty project. They work way to hard for that. When a product comes out shitty it's ALWAYS the suites who ruined it.

Its better now.. performance great and classic lighning is superb, but still have bug.. even war drum mobile port of trilogy still better than last update gta trilogy high definition

I said it once, and I'll say it again: if they can update the graphics, they can update the sound effects, as well.

That's the only thing that'll convince me to buy it.

To me Rockstar should just leave this game in the dust. Its a lost cost.

They removed the CO-OPP off GTA SA so no point in buying they could had improved the CO-OP instead of removing it

And for some reason you still can't run these ancient games at 4K60 on console

Everything is too clean and shiny/polished looking. Totally jarring, so much so that i cant even play them. Rockstar and Take-Two should've never released this.

I did read recently that the only reason the Remakes even exist is because Rockstar didn't want to pay EA royalties for the Renderware engine anymore, hence the removal of the original on Steam too.

To be fair on regarding Claude looking depressed, I'd also be severly depressed too if I was in Claude's situation. Also, not like being in Liberty City, a city thats claimed in universe to be the worst city in America, is a fun time.

that’s rich from the guy at GSG considering they’d remastered the games for the 10th anniversary too and also did a shitty job

I bought these games on steam because it had 60% off. Still I modded them a little bit so it would feel more "definitive". In my opinion there's nothing definitive about any of these games and they are not worth full price.

If they want to make these definitive then they should have lots of visual settings and presets so old fans can make the game look like the original or maybe the want the original look with a couple new graphical toggles like raytracing and what not. And for new fans who want all the bells and whistles they can make the games look like they are now.

Does the patch contain numerous bug fixes? Because if you're gonna scrub Grove Street Games from the opening cards and all that other stuff then at least clean up their mess.

There are still major issues they haven't fixed

1. The crazy enemy accuracy (using the "in vehicle" aim mode instead of "on foot"), resulting in Claude/Tommy/CJ dying within SECONDS from full upgraded armor and health even if the enemy is using a normal pistol from afar.

2. The water splash effect in rainy weather got worse with the update. It was fine before, but on other platforms besides PC if your car accelerates you can see a stupid smoke-like effect instead of water splashes.

How To Run Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition

Im on xbox and im confused as to how i can play Max Payne 1 and 2, Manhunt and other games that are upscaled and run at 1080p-1440p whatever and 60fps with nice textures. Why wasnt this done for these three games? I believe Bully got the same treatment, actually it could be the mobile port of bully too but even that game looks fine and nothing is removed

I would like them to use as an example the excellent Remastered video from Gta Vice City and Gta San Andreas. If their will was to leave the game "Similar to the original with new important additions" they should have followed that path.

We've seen how remakes are worth the time and effort to do, especially with the likes of Mafia (1) - Remaster of a 2002 game into a 2016 game engine (Mafia3) and just then enhance it as much as possible and it's just like playing a new game.

However, as rockstar is rockstar, as we saw 3 years ago, that's never gonna happen, especially not with the GTA Franchise

I was expecting GTA V/RDR2 graphics, physics, building updates and period correct vehicles. Essentially GTA V/RDR2 gameplay with GTA 3 original Map and storyline. Something similar to what was done with Mafia 2 but better.

These Games are selling for 25 bucks now and with updates I just had to.. very glad I did playing vice City has been awesome it looks really nice runs nice and even plays great so much life and humorous activities going on in its world the new games just are missing 👍👍👍 still my favorite GTA game and even better now glad I didn't listen to all the negativity. Looking forward to trying the other two out also.
