The world's #1 or #2 least visited country. LOTS of mystery to solve. Our last "T" country, and last Polynesian country (one more for Oceania though!). Also Thanks KERI - she is officially the RAREST person we've ever had as a guest host the show (only about 13,000 Tuvaluans in the world). THIS is an episode you don't want to miss. ENJOY!
ОтветитьNice,
ОтветитьOne reason I like subscribing to Twitch channel is because I hope at least some of that money is going to Tuvalu and I find it pretty cool
ОтветитьAs someone who wants to visit every country in the world one day Tuvalu is really high on my list. You seem very sweet and warm people and I would love learning how you guys live. The islands look very exotic for me since I'm from Europe, beautiful to see. The fact the country is very hard to visit because of the limited flights, small space, being far and very far apart spread and the limited hotels, I only find it more fun and adventureous to visit it. The fact you guys are welcoming to visitors to stay because the hotelrooms are very limited only shows how guest free and warm you are. I think Tuvalu is my favorite Polynesian country and I really hope to visit it one day.
ОтветитьShipping info could be a bit more accurate. Tuvalu sold Nivaga II way longer than 9 months ago (video's release date). Currently, the islands are services by the Nivaga III, Manufolau and Moeiteava as the main scheduled vessels and a couple smaller vessels that are sometimes chartered for specific purposes.
ОтветитьWhy you didnt let the native Tuvaluan narrate this episode
ОтветитьPeople from oceania are gonna be packed in the Vanuatu episode!!!
ОтветитьI liked to system of becoming a sister or brother. I think many people in my country would like it. 😊
ОтветитьI watched the episode again. Man, this Oceania islands will going to disappear if the most powerful leader of the world didn't do anything.
The capital is simply tiny. 🤯
It's probably a good thing in a way that Tuvalu doesn't have a tourism industry, because tourists would basically destroy the beautiful wildlife and beaches. Love to Tuvalu from the United States.
ОтветитьThis is my favourite video of Geography Now. I remember I used this as a show and tell for facts I put so much effort into it it was very hard because my parents were arguing and my back started to hurt. I am literally crying of how happy I am right now watching it I also ascociate it with the video named something like All British Territories in One flag. I had a dream about this video (what happened in the dream is that I was in a cafe and met Barbs (the main person) and Keri (the Tuvaluan who got the most screen time) @and also the cafe was about Geography Now.)
ОтветитьSo what about Niue?
ОтветитьSoon this video and flag episode wouldn't even exist i mean the whole would be submerged underwater
ОтветитьStool or tai in indonesian.
ОтветитьLove from Tuvalu ❤
ОтветитьYou are the best in your area, thank you for such a rich documentary
ОтветитьMay be there's a lot of coconut crabs in TuVaLu..
ОтветитьI hope this little country survives for all eternity. Love Tuvalu from Poland🇹🇻♥️🇵🇱
ОтветитьTuvalu ??
ОтветитьI’ve always been interested in Tuvalu, due to it’s strange environment. It is one of the hottest planets on earth, smallest, poorest, least known, etc. It’s sad. Atleast it’s more known than São Tomé.
Ответить🇹🇻
Ответить26 min video for this tiny unhistorical country. Greece was 13 minutes must downvote
ОтветитьFun fact, since Tuvalu may disappear due to rising sea levels, the government is trying to convert everything about the country into the metaverse/virtual reality.
ОтветитьCan you do some relevant countries that don’t exist anymore, like the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, many indigenous nations of the pacific and American continents.
ОтветитьAs a Polynesian thank you for videos like this(and the rest of the pacific videos). Videos like these help preserve culture which is usually misrepresented or forgotten completely.
ОтветитьTHERES 2 FREINDZONES!?
Ответитьi studied medicine in Cuba for free, and there i meet people from Kiribati, Vanuatu, Tuvalu and other pacific islands that were there studying medicine for free to, very nice people and they play football very well almost every year they won the tournament along with paraguay and honduras.
ОтветитьCook island please
ОтветитьAll this years I do not understand what's Anna problem with Keith's, does anyone know what happen between this two?
ОтветитьIt’s hilarious that Hannah thinks the word is pronounced “pronunciating”
ОтветитьIn my undergrad World Archaeology course I wrote a paper on the nation of Tuvalu and course project centered on this island. I am so glad to see this episode
ОтветитьAre you sure about the fact that there is a flight from Tarawa to funafuti? Because I can't find any info about it anywhere...
ОтветитьI so badly want to learn Tuvaluan. If anyone can help me, that’d be amazing!
ОтветитьGary’s accent borders on NZ and English at times.
ОтветитьI just watched Canada and then watched this and it is amazing to see how much the videos (including the puns) and the channel has evolved. I wish I knew about this channel years ago, it is just such a gem.
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьIsn't the country thats guilt tripping the rest of the world for climate change when coast erosion is more of a threat. Lol.
ОтветитьTuVaLu = True Value
Ответить5 And the main judge was very furious with the prophet and said: "How is it that it is only an Ivorian named Kacou Philippe that has been sent by God? … Do you know him? … Have you ever seen him?" And the brothers answered: "No, we have never seen him, but one of us has!" And the main judge started laughing, and he concluded that the brothers followed a heresy. And after the trial, he said to the brothers that Prophet Kacou Philippe did not exist. He said: "There is no such a man anywhere on earth, it is a legend". And the brothers told me that during their stay in prison, a lot of prisoners had believed and were happy and wished that the brothers would remain with them for a longer time in prison.
Ответить8 God can speak to them as to the sons of the prophets in 2 Kings 2 but if they are really of God and they have the Spirit of God, no matter their fame, their wealth or their height or their education level, they will come towards the prophet messenger of their time. [Ed: The congregation says, "Amen!"]. In 2 Kings, we can see that they were already prophets before Elisha but when Elijah left the scene and Elisha took over, they came towards Elisha and said to him, "Sends us here! Send us there! Come with us!" And not in the days of Elijah but it was especially in the days of Elisha that they appeared much. You see? And God put on their heart to go and search for Elijah and they urged Elisha as one urging a friend of his. God did that in order that when they would not find Elijah, and they would know that, Elijah is no longer on the earth, they may respect entirely the authority of Elisha’s ministry. And they conformed to the Word because they were animated by the same Spirit as Elisha [Ed: The congregation says, "Amen!"].
9 And in the whole world, in every nation, in every city there were some! The Bible says: The sons of the prophets who were at Bethel went forth towards Elisha… The sons of the prophets who were at Gilgal went forth towards Elisha… The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha… and when Elijah was caught up, the Bible says that the sons of the prophets went towards Elisha and bowed to the ground before him! And one day, it was one of them that Elisha sent to anoint Jehu. You say, "Brother Philippe, they are not prophets!" Yes Brother! They are prophets but prophets of Church. Prophets inside the Church. It is different from the prophet messenger.

in my hometown in Indonesia, Tuvalu sounds like "to uvalu" means "eight peoples"
