I just returned from Audie Murphy Day in Greenville TX at the Audie Murphy American Cotton Museum. This was my third trip there to honor this great American. There will never be another like him. Thank you for this video.

Sorry to say your research is a little lacking, firstly, his addiction to proscription sleeping pills, he locked himself into a hotel room for a week and went cold turkey and never took anymore, and secondly when on the burning tank firing the 50 cal he never passed out plus he was shot in the leg which was on top of the shrapnel wounds he received 3 days after he returned to his troops, he only left the tank after he ran out of ammo.

I watched all his westerns also read anything Audi Murphy . Also anything on U Tube

It's a sin that today's ignorance about his and Real heroes life has been replaced with superhero movies ... THIS, coming from a comic fan.

All he went through in service I can understand his need for something to help him sleep who wouldn’t all that was in his mind and seeing his follow soldiers die in front of him I wouldn’t be able to sleep either who would. People shouldn’t look at some thing they didn’t live in his shoes. He was one of our great heroes. He deserves all the honors he got and more.
