Hey boys, Led Zeppelin was the forerunner of rap, r&b, grunge, metal and many more music genres. Without Zeppelin, people like Lenny Kravitz ,Prince, Queen and Aerosmith would not be singing the way they did. Show them some respect, boys! They still hold the guiness record for the biggest crowd attendance ever at their concerts in the US, beating even The Beatles.

From an old white guy who loves all kinds of music, especially rock and roll, in my opinion, LED ZEPPELIN created the modern rock band.
Jimmy Page recruited three other master musicians to join him in 1968 to create a band of guitar driven, blues based rock music. Their live performances set the standard for hard rock bands.

If you guys want to hear and see possibly the best ever live blues based rock song AND guitar solo(s), listen and watch "Since I've been Loving You" live from Madison Square Garden in 1973. It's unmatched to this day. It's absolutely phenomenal.
Other songs from that same concert you might want to check out is The Ocean, Dazed and Confused and Celebration Day (and several others).

I'm glad to see you young men are independent thinkers and also fellow lovers of good music.
