Backyard Sounds

While feeling a bit stressed out today during the usual Sunday family get-together, I set up my Zoom H4N (sans Roland in-ear microphones) in the backyard to try to get some naturey sounds. They don't live right next to a highway like I do, so I was hoping for less traffic sounds.

Unfortunately, I forgot to turn up the recording level (since I have it set low normally because my in-ear mics are very sensitive) so it's mostly just very distant sounding bird sounds and occasional wind blowing. Not horrible but not all that exciting either.

Tragically, I forgot to get a photo so this is a picture I grabbed on the way home.
