Da ja alle Mathe als Schulfach hatte, machen wir doch einmal nur eine Rechnung auf, nämlich die der Winkelabweichungen - Aufgabe:
Ein Panzer steht in 300 Meter zum entferntem Ziel. Das Ziel hat eine Breite von fünf Meter. Wieviel Grad Abweichung hat der Panzerturm sich zu drehen, um auf der Entfernung von maximal einem Meter Abweichung zu treffen ? Sind es 0,191° oder eher (11Bogenminuten und 27,6Bogensekunden)
Man nehme das "Geo-Dreieck" und zeichne den Winkel von ??? ein ... ;)

I vividly recall the first encounters with a Leopard 2, and a sense of awe when the first one was knocked out.. at the time we still believed german hardware was awesome. Those times are long gone. ;)

Actually the tank comes with an integrated beer storage. I learned this from a friend who served on one as a gunner. The tank has four tubes on each side of the turret which are meant for firing smoke grenades. Guess what those were replaced with during maneuvers. 😉
