Christy's fans loved him. Him, the real flesh and blood man, not the rock star he embodied. Christy lived and loved coming to their small towns and venues to be with them where they lived, not always expecting them to travel up to Dublin to see them. There is something in that for all up and coming bands. Go to your fans like Christy did. Feel the love he felt.

Aslan are the greatest Rock band to ever emerge from the Irish Rock scene. Bar none. It was a lovely tribute all the same. Poor Christy.

I for one appreciate the fact that U2's cover here helps spread the beauty of Christy Dignam's singing. Sad that I never heard him live, I nonetheless look forward to getting more acquainted with his bell-like voice and powerful lyrics in the near future through recordings.
