Is a person studying M.S in US considered an NRI? and, if we are buying a property from such a person via GPA given to his father and we opt for home loan. What are the Tax liabilities and should the own contribution amount (20% of total)be sent to that actual owner's account and should that be a NRO account unlike a regular savings account??😮

can you please explain if seller is nri and apply for LDC. for apply LDC need to buyer TAN Number.

You not mention Form 15CB and 15CA to be filed with Income Tax Department which is one of the Important issue to avoid Legal complications.

I just have one question , I am buying a property from an NRI say for 110 lakhs and my bank is funding the 85-90% of amount, but the bank says they will disperse the ammount DD in the name of seller while registration. I want to pay TDS(23-24%%) from this 110lakhs and rest only need to be paid to seller. How can I approach the bank to do this? Is there any provision for this?

What if seller hides that he is NRI and proceed the deal as Indian resident with all proof as Indian address
Will this makes any future trouble for buyer?

Dear sir 


I have a quiery regarding my upcoming commercial corporate property purchase which is in 2 weeks from today


I'm purchasing a unit from a buyer not contacted him personally only middle broker is handling  (mother from delhi and son NRI joint) mother died , how to know how many children she has

Son is providing survivng member certificate from revenue department + death certificate of mother


1. Is this sufficient 

2.he says he has only one sister and she is willing to come to sub registrar office during registration

3. How to confirm about the children, If any one else is there ?


Please help me at earliest

What if the flat is jointly owned (husband and wife)and the nro account is on the name of single owner.?
